Other than early morning Christmas church service on TV, not sure what else will be watched (we're not going anywhere). I did ask for the 3rd season of The Crown for Christmas, so maybe I might watch an episode.

Christmas Day aside, I've watched (a few times already) the PBS special by Rick Steves. It's all about European Christmas traditions, and it's one of the best shows ever made. (I think it came out around 2006.) I know that @ajrwdwgirl also enjoys this show each Christmas.
I may watch the Rick Steves one later today it's his best episode!

I was reading but did not know fourteen people died in their cars near Boston on Interstate 95 during the blizzard of 1978. The drivers were trapped in their cars and died from carbon monoxide poisoning trying to heat up their cars that were covered with the avalanche of snow.
We had a 3 day blizzard in Wyoming in 1984? 1983 or 84, but I was just a little kid. I don't know how many people died, but I know one of our friends did because he tried to get out to feed his cattle and couldn't find his truck again in the white out. When the storm cleared, they found his body just a few feet from his truck...he couldn't see it just feet away. I remember my mom coming to get us from school, and all the kids who lived in the country and came by bus had to go to people's houses in town. We lived just a block from the school, but when we went outside, it was so windy that I couldn't breathe because the wind just rushed down my throat. I had to cover my mouth with my scarf so I could catch a breath. When the storm was over, there were shoveling parties to get people out of their homes where the snow had drifted up in front of their doors. Cars were completely buried. There was an apartment complex and the entire parking lot was just one big snow drift...you couldn't even tell there were cars under the snow. My mom had a picture of someone standing in front of our "Mall" (It's not really a mall....I mean, it used to be full of stores, but now it's just the grocery store and a cafe and the Post Office. I think everything else closed) and the snow bank is taller than the person. It was a nasty storm.

It was just beautifully produced. I am mesmerized every time I watch it. It's one of those few shows that I'm not doing something else at the same time -- I just stop everything and watch. :inlove:
Today will be a good day for that! With some hot cocoa and a large blanket wrapped around yourself! It will become unsafe to head outside at some point today!!!!!!!!!!

I just checked our local PBS stations, as well as New Hampshire PBS (we pull in that, too). It's not on today, but I'll find something else to watch later on. I'll also check AMC and TCM for any old Christmas movies.

Unless the snow track has changed, we're not getting any snow until tonight after 7; and it will go through tomorrow early afternoon.

Weather reporters have increased the inch count; and now we could get 12-18!! :joyfull: Supposed to be white fluffy snow, too -- not the heavy, icy kind. :) Can't wait to look out the window tomorrow morning and see it!!

I’ll have to look for it, I do enjoy Rick Steves shows.

4. Before I even got to tell you guys that the sparkle was back in Kylie’s eyes, I came home from work after midnight a few days ago, and she was limp-hopping like a kangaroo (I think on a different paw!?) Brian said she was fine when he went to bed, so we have no idea what happened. We’ve seen only a slight improvement, and I’m starting to get concerned about certain scenarios.
Amazingly, I am at the age that I can identify with Kylie. I can go to bed at night feeling absolutely great and wake up with a foot so sore that I can hardly walk (not gout, mystery problem) or a shoulder that locks up half way to head level. With me it is aging, I don't know about Kylie.

@figmentfan423 I need help. I tried to hem some knit pants on my cheap mending sewer. It would not hold a stitch. It sews well on cotton. I googled and saw something about a ballpoint needle. Do you think that is what the problem may be?
