We decorated gingerbread houses today! We bought a kit in clearance after Christmas last year so it was really cheap and a fun activity. We never planned to eat them so expiration dates didn’t matter.

anyway here they are. The kit came with four houses so we each did two. Please vote on which set of two you like best!

Jack is in the doghouse (again). This time he outdid himself. Hubs put his dental appliance/denture on counter for a minute, while he stepped away. Guess what 4-legged beast grabbed it off the counter and mauled it to pieces? We anticipate that will be (approx.) $1,500 to replace (no dental insurance anymore), and dentist is booked solid for a few weeks. (His top teeth are fine; it's the bottom that he had many extractions, so that's why he needs it.) He can still manage to eat with the few teeth on the bottom that he still has, but obviously, that's far from ideal.

Dogs love dentures. Not unheard of. Sorry about the cost. Too bad you don’t live closer. Could have gotten you a deal.

It's also illegal in some states. My friend sent a set to my daughter, and we couldn't figure it out. So I looked it up on Google to get some tricks and tips and found out it was a misdemeanor in my state just to possess it. We don't have it anymore.

I have made the crust with cake mixes before since I don’t really like graham crackers. It turned out well especially the chocolate cake mix. Shortbread would be tasty too. What do you use in place of the sweetened condensed milk?
