@Tony the Tigger I have a question only you can answer due to the amount of people who have strange traditions here.;) Seeing it's just us would it be wrong if I cut back on the amount of fishes this year? I know I probably won't but...................... I still have the stuffed pork loin on the menu for Christmas dinner

Today at my house was decoration day. I know many people did it long ago. Anyway, here is the view as I sit in my favorite chair looking out at the living room....View attachment 516120
I am not completely done with my indoor decorating.

I am getting 4.5 volt power adapters with multiple jacks for accessories . The accessories are for my villages. I thought I have more 4.5 volt power adapters with multiple jacks than I actually have. The accessories are the only things left to put up.

You can “cheat” by doing one two-ways. Example: breaded shrimp and shrimp scampi or cocktail, etc!

And, of course, you may combine a few in a fra diavolo (or less spicy) or several in a cioppino!

I knew our family was on the downswing a bit when traditions slowed or stopped. I clearly remember one of my Grandmothers and my stepmother reduce their cooking after their respective husbands passed. And when Grandma stopped doing all seven fishes, it didn’t go unnoticed.

Whatever you do, make a good show of it!

Our first real tree. Pre-ornaments.

Wanted to do something special this year. When B went to his cousin’s house at 8:30AM to start the turkey, I went out and picked this up. I had it lit along with some of our outdoor decorations when we came home from dinner that night.

This reminded me of our first Christmas together in 2006. He went up to Melbourne the night before. I was working late at the bar. In the morning, I went out and bought a big Martha Stewart tree and all new ornaments and set it up in his apartment before driving up for dinner - and then home to work that night.

This year smells much nicer!

We’ll hang all our “trip ornaments” tomorrow, including our new one from this summer’s Disney visit.

Thank you! I like your idea of combining! There's only 3 in my house who eat fish and one is allergic to shellfish so I'm thinking about combining the shellfish into a fra diavolo as the allergic one isn't fond of of spicy food, I'll make a vegan one for myself. 7 courses plus sides just seemed like a bit much without company;) To be honest I'm enjoying the year without company:angelic:
