Yes View attachment 512396@MinnieM123 , I ate those as well.
So many delicious options...yet only one stomach!

must be a generation thing and the fact that they were first made during the depression era but those look horrible. Though I did have these (and liked) as a kid. I had Suzy Q's too but hated them.

For the record, I never had a Twinkie and don't care to.

One of my coworkers tested positive for covid. It was kind of bound to happen eventually....we have over 200 people who work there. The good news is I haven't been in contact with this person for weeks. She mostly works during the day, and mostly in the receiving/processing of new merch, where I only work evenings and mostlly training new people to fill orders, and sometimes either putting new stuff on the shelves, or putting returned merch back. Once in a very blue moon, I am packing boxes. The question is going to be how far it spread from her and did I have contact with any of the people she had contact with?

I ate Twinkies when I was young but I've never had a deep fried Twinkie with powdered sugar on top at the state fair. Many items at a state fair are deep fried, even watermelon.

Turns out that the "service fee". Was an actual ADDITIONAL CHARGE of 31 USD per night on top of the room fees.
This "service fee". Pays the "free internet" and the "free included water" also "the coffee".
I was NOT AMUSED.

American hotels claim free this that and the other thing but forget to mention the service fee:cautious: I thought the dry pic was rather interesting

Yah, it's aggravating. I've stayed at both Swan and Dolphin multiple times and they've always had the service fee.

However, it's been very up front and not hidden -- when I'd reserve online (before I'd go on vacation), they'd always give a complete breakdown of ALL the charges, taxes, etc. They've always been transparent with this. In my experience, even with the added daily fee, I still always came out way ahead with paying less than the Boardwalk, Beach Club or Yacht Club hotels in the same location. (Of course, I'd carefully choose dates with the best overall rates, etc.) I still highly recommend these hotels.

Still a bit pricy but then again I'm also a monorail girl;)

Did any of you eat these as a kid? I am gonna have one now. I am gonna feed my "inner child" :cool:View attachment 512324
I always thought lemon ruined a dessert as a kid! (Exception: lemon ice.)

And, though I generally prefer vanilla over chocolate, the filling in these made them my favorite. I would eat all around the edges first and then get a big bite of mostly filling with just a little cake.

If it makes you feel better (I never got around to telling you guys this) Brian’s nephew started feeling unwell the night of the Sunday event for his Dad in Melbourne and tested positive on Monday - but to my knowledge, no one else has tested positive. (And he’s better already.)

But we’re seeing big increases. I think Halloween did something (to adults.) Two friends tested positive yesterday.

I’m getting tested again for peace of mind. We all are before Thanksgiving with his cousin and 2 other people. Total head count of 5, inner circle.

Kylie has been sick again, making a vet appointment today. She’s 11 now.

I used a third party concentrator that gives discounts. And the writing on the paper said "all hotel fees are prepaid by".
This is the only hotel to charge an additional fee on top of the prepaid voucher charges lol.

And agree on the price.
I think Disney Hotels are still in the same prices pre-covid. Only with a PR "discount" on top.
I think the whole hotel per day was 145 USD with the fees per night.
Decent. Even cheaper than a Disney moderate.
