Where my dh works if anybody in the house has to quarantine it's 2 weeks leave for the person who works there
Both of my kids at work is required to quarantine for two weeks paid. No deduct from any sick leave. Their employers care. It is frustrating to see the wide margins of caring for mankind or just not. Why we are where we are. This was predicted and ignored.

Those are the rules we have too. If it was anyone other than the teacher, then it wouldn’t have been the full classroom.
Yeah, I'm not sure how elementary schools are handling it here. In the high schools, if the teacher is sick, they just stay home. We're pretty sure E's math teacher had it at the beginning of this school year. He was out for a couple of weeks and we got an email from the school that said one teacher had the virus. But they aren't allowed to tell you WHO has it, for privacy reasons. So you get a mail that says a teacher has it, or a student in Havo 3, or whatever level and year they are, and if you have had close contact, they will mail you seperately to tell you that you need to quarantine. But apparently they have the teachers' area in each classroom taped off and the kids have to be distant from the teacher, just not from each other. So if a teacher gets it, they don't really make any kids quarantine. Now we just get a newsletter every friday with the number of cases that were reported in the school that week, and you get a separate email if it affects your kid.

So far several kids in TV3 have been tested, but I only know the one kid who actually got it, and she was already in quarantine when she got it because her dad had it. Other kids have been tested, but were negative. But they all have a whatsapp group together and tell each other when they are getting tested and when they get results, so we'd know who it was if anyone had it. But they only have classes with each other....they don't have classes with Havo, Mavo, or regular VWO. But I suspect if they were going to get it from another student, it might be in the breaks when they are with the entire school and sitting closely together.

The new shelving unit is up, the entire pantry is organized just waiting for the water bottle stacker to show up.

My current project has made my kitchen an absolute disaster 😂😂 I took my cabinet doors off and am in the process of getting canisters and decorations to make the stuff inside prettier.

I'm going to tear down the cabinets next, and put up this wallpaper

Then I'm going to put up some wood shelves like this

It's a bit of a big project in my tiny home 😂😂

You are super woman!
So I'm guessing you own your house then? We'll get to see the after pictures, right?

You're either ambitious or crazy?! ;)

Kidding aside, that's quite a big project, but I have no doubt that you'll do an excellent job. What I really like a lot is the wallpaper you've chosen. Anyway, I can't wait to see photos of the final results!

Can you imagine the dust bunnies after a while? You would have to take the matress and such off to vacuum. It looks really cool, but I don't know how practical it would be.
Dust bunnies would be the least of my worries about what might end up under there. Cool idea though for someone that can take the mattress off every day. The cat would probably clean up the dust bunnies.

Yes of course!!
Done by thanksgiving then 😁
I'm really hoping so! I need to order the shelves today so it will mainly depend on when they were ready

Both ambitious AND crazy 😂😂 the rest of my house is pretty whimsical... It's got like, a minimalist hippie vibe. The kitchen just always felt off. I know it might downgrade the value of the house a little, but I don't plan to move for the next couple decades and I just want to enjoy it rather than thinking about what the next person will enjoy. I think it's going to look really pretty and open and light

Love your kitchen! Good work so far!!

When we did our kitchen, I got rid of all the upper cabinets and put in wood shelves too. I am short so I can’t reach the uppers anyway so why have them. 🤣A41A02F5-6F66-4617-A429-C22A468F7DF4.jpeg

Yeah our cat always could tell when we were taking her to the vet so she hid under the middle of our queen bed. One of us would have to try to pull her out🤣
Belle goes on a leash, so I pick her up, cuddle her, and then she's on the leash on the way to the vet.

Jasmine one of us grabs the carrier, the other grabs her, the carrier opens fro. The top, so we plop her in before she can do anything about it.

Jasmine, being the cat that she is, thought it would be cool to try to explore the vet's office while she was there the last time...😐 Almost escaped out the door of the exam room like, "Hey, what's back here?" She's probably also going on a leash next time. 😂

That looks great!! Everyone I've told I'm doing this has been shocked because there's no way they could do it with the amount of storage they need in their kitchen. I think that's why it lowers the home value. Americans really love storage

Thanks! No one wants less cabinets, but honestly, I haven’t missed mine. I cut down on extra dishes and stuff I didn’t use. I do have a pantry downstairs that I store extra things like appliances and once a year dishes. And my food items are down there.
