It has been over 70 degrees today, but there is great news. There are 43 snowflakes hanged up from the ceiling.
I am not putting other decorations up yet.
That's the spirit!!

I think you should watch it again.Yes! The voice of reason!
I made the right decisionI think you should watch it again.
To be honest, I have been so turned off by the constant harassing that I wouldn't get it if the agreement were made of gold. I figure that they will charge a significant amount to guarantee engine replacement and the like. Whatever that monthly payment is can go a long way toward paying for a new car. And lets face it at some point they are going to drop you like a hot potato because the one thing about cars that you can depend on is that they eventually fall apart especially up north with the cold, snow and salt.@donaldtoo and @Goofyernmost , what do you think of those types of companies (like Car Shield), that cover some/most/none? repairs to cars)? I keep seeing the commercials, but wonder if they really say what they advertise. Or, if it's a case where you have to buy a far more expensive monthly option they offer (I assume they have tiered-cost, monthly products), to be assured of them coming through, for big repairs.
That's simple... for a long time GM was known for its quality cars. Buicks in particular were the middle class Cadillac. When my father would get into his big V-8, Buick engine with dynaflow transmission he was a happy man. Those Buick engines and transmission were unbreakable and the engine had a very distinctive sound that you could identify before you could even see the car. They were quality up until planned obsolescence came into style and all the US automakers made cars cheaper and in need of replacement a lot sooner. That said, however, my Father had a thing about trading cars. The family used to say that he traded cars as soon as the ashtrays were full and since he was a smoker, at the time, it didn't take very long. I remember one year when he had strayed from Buicks and bought a Pontiac Convertible, a Chevy Impala and a Buick LaSabre in the same calendar year. If it wasn't a Buick, he couldn't wait to fill the ashtrays. All things being relative though, you could buy three new cars for what one car costs now. From experience, I've decided to never buy American-made cars again.
Both of my GM cars hit 100K miles and just started dying. The Bravada didn't make it past 150K and it was in terrible shape.
My parents have had multiple issues with their Buicks. Including the one that's under warranty. It's had multiple issues from day 1. Leaking sunroof, the check engine light going on while we were on our way to HH...
My grandfather is a car guy, and when I asked him about what I should get, he just said, "Not a GM or a Ford."
My parents for some reason are loyal to GM. I can't figure that one out.
