Jersey week is always busy but I saw some of the same reporting last week. I wonder how much busier it feels with so much being closed
Jersey week SHOULD be lighter than in the past. My school district repeatedly URGED parents and staff not to travel to any state on NJ's quarantine list. I am staying in NJ all week. If no Covid-19, we surely would have gone somewhere warm like Phoenix or Florida.

I just learned the Dapper Dans were laid off. I am guessing everyone else knew that already.
I watched the Dapper Dans perform on the Trolley down Main Street an hour ago. 🤷🏻‍♀️

There are a lot of Jersey folks here in the parks. I’ve lived in Jersey and have family there so I know of what I speak. 😉

Waited about 30 minutes. Not terrible. A friend of mine who lives on the other side of town where it is more populated said she waited over an hour when the polls opened. I cannot believe James is old enough to vote. My sil told me where she lives in Clifton they had only mail in ballots. She brought hers right to the county clerks office.
I can't believe your dd is old enough to vote either.

I did the mail-in, although I took it to the secure indoor city hall box, instead of mailing. Hubs went in person this morning, and he always takes our dog, Jack, to "vote" with him. Then, he grabs two of the "I Voted" stickers, and sticks one on Jack's dog collar. 🤦‍♀️ People laugh when they see Jack, which is bad because it encourages hubs' lunatic behavior. :p

My boys have issues. Seeing my dh and I decided to smoke turkey parts instead of a whole turkey the boys feel I should roast a chicken as to have some sort of roasted poultry:cautious: The meu in now smoked pork butt, smoked turkey parts, roast chicken w/stuffing, homemade cranberry sauce, baked beans, mac and cheese(smoked, baked ziti, salad, green bean casserole, roasted brussels sprouts and roast root veggies, pumpkin and apple pies. I think it's just a bit much for 4 people the boys say otherwise:cautious::cautious:

Sounds good! Think of all the leftovers!!! (Maybe):joyfull:

@Cesar R M , really enjoying your daily updates! :) You've done well in managing your time there, and have had some fun on vacation. (Also, glad to read that you were able to ride on the Friendship boats. I know they go slow; but I've always liked them, as I looked forward to the peaceful water rides.)

I noted that you mentioned how it's getting very crowded in some of the parks. I was just looking up in News and Rumors at some posts, and other members are also making note of the increasing crowds, and (some various issues related to that). Link below, as an fyi only.

My legs definitively thank these boats lol.
The walk is way too long for my poor legs.

Anyway, today was Magic Kingdom and I was surprised on how empty it felt at a times. Sometimes the attractions were slammed then lowered.
It was very rare to see the Castle almost empty enough to take a picture of an empty partners statue XD

We wouldn't either...our boys are too familiar with the steps it takes us to get to WDW. The last time we were able to trick them, we told them an old family friend had died after moving to Florida, so we had to go to the funeral and WERE NOT going to WDW.

We told them where we were really going at MCO while we were letting them play in that play area, lol.

Oh my...I would have never thought to use that reason for fear of the potential karmac blowback...!!!!! :eek:o_O:hilarious:

Note that Magic Kingdom still felt like the usual low season. Unlikely how it felt in DHS or Animal Kingdom. which were packed to the seams.

It was still busy, in the morning a few minutes after rope drop.. Mansion was a walkon.. Peter pan was like 30 minutes and Small world was fluctuating between 30 and 60 because of the boat cleanups and disinfection.

I was surprised that the characters were consistently appearing in specific areas at random times. They did an awesome job in spreading the crowds.
For example. In frontier land... The beards were above the Jamboree building, and in the bridge to Adventure Land, next to the jamboree building. Chip and Dale in cowboy suits were also appearing randomly.
Mr. Incredible and Stitch appeared in tomorrowland (which was almost empty except for the crowds going for the Buzz ride and Space Mountain).
Random princesses appeared one after another in the railway station in the beginning of the Main Street square.
Also, characters like Captain Sparrow were near their attractions.
Not to mention the random cavalcades. Mickey and the Gang dancing in one of the soundssational floats. Pooh with Peter Pan, Aladdin, Pixie and a third character I do not remember right now were in the Sounsational mickey float. Also...
Like this pandemic reminds people of a zombie apocalypse.. Disney necro-revived again the castle float for the third cavalcade which featured all the princesses and the fairy godmother in the top.
I think there was a fourth cavalcade but missed it. It had a shinny cloud style float (seen from far with my camera).
The best part is they were very good at pushing the people to follow them. And Disney's managers cheekily used this to throw the next cavalcade a few minutes later instead of an hour later on. Dividing the crowds even more and using the clearing effect the first one did.

Anyway so far it was pretty uneventful.
There are no new attractions and all the weight was as always on the mine train. Which once had up to 120minute wait (almost an entire circle and half around the attraction).
Pirates was fine, it moved pretty fast and like the others ( its a small world) also had random shutdowns to disinfect the boats.
Infact, Pirates looked pretty good. Even the mist effect on the opening pirates vs fort scene was working.
All animatronics looked fine except Johnny's last one, which looked crocked lol.
Then went to my favourite Flight of Peter Pan. Which had the usual line at first look. But It was obviously half of it because of the distancing. Took like 15 to 20 minutes to get in.
Then headed immediately to Is a small World, which is still under repairs on the outer façade (had a covering).
After that I decided to head to get some food, so went to frontier land since most of the small restaurants are closed and I sure as hell did not want pizza. They even closed down my favo Harbour restaurant. I also noticed at this point that they had fully drained the small lake of the boat and were fixing tom sawyers island.
I decided not to waste money on Liberty square restaurants and went to try to get a hotdog. Thats how I got some photos of Chip and Dale and the bears. Then found that the hot dog stand was closed and only had Pecos as option.
Pecos was SLAMMED with people. I mean to the max. People were eating outside as well because of lack of space inside.
At this point the first cavalcade I noticed went out, took some photos and some videos before going to eat.
Not a fan of the texmex food there..
Anyway, next I went to pirates, which was also pretty full. Took a picture of Captain Sparrow before going in.
Headed to the castle where I seen a second cavalcade with Mickey and Co.
From there I went towards the mine train. Where it was above 120 minutes. Pooh's attraction was also busy so went directly to the Little Mermaid show, which had a lengthy wait as well but moved fast.
After that, returned all the way just to find that Mansion was above 90 minutes so I went to the castle area, took some photos and managed to catch the third cavalcade.
Took some very nice castle pictures too. After this... Then headed for tomorrowland.
After checking for characters and only finding Mr. Incredible. Decided to go to the carousel of progress to rest my poor feet.
Then decided to cross around, buy some drinks then headed back to the castle where the number of people had diminished considerably.
Took a ton of photos and headed back to Liberty Square then to the Mansion, which had a 30 minute wait.
After this, moved onto its a small world again because my mother asked for some video. This was her favorite attraction.
Then headed towards the mine train to see if it was worth waiting for. The line was 50% less than before so boarded.
Its fun..but too short for the wait..
Then headed to Pooh's hunny hunt. Something that I always wondered why in all images the rabbit had clothes drying in the background but he never wears clothes?
Anyway, after this... I went back to the castle via the Royal carousel. For more photos and get some photos taken by photopass as another cavalcade moved in.
after this went back to tomorrowland to get a picture of Stitch and went back to the liberty square again.. where I sat on the area by Liberty Square and just laid there an hour before the park closure.. to rest my poor legs.
Managed to watch the last cavalcade of the day and after took some photos of my favourite statues in the fastpass area of the magic kingdom castle area and then called the day by going home.
I decided to use the ferry. After all the Dolphin had no direct buses anymore. So we had to go to the transportation section.
aaand then went home.

Some Details:
.. I need to ask @StarWarsGirl to give us the blessings of cold air. It was much hotter today!
Also... I decided to wear something that would make a Ken (male Karen) Jealous. I had a very bright pink shirt phosphorescent pink) and some dark blue pants and my black shoes.
There was no way someone would confuse me for a cast member... or so I believed for almost all the day.. until I got to the castle area and was taking photos of the castle.
A woman and family waved their hand and held the magicband out towards me expectantly.. XD
After that I told the lady that the photographers are THERE (right NEXT TO ME!!!) and they wore all white with light cream colored shorts and white vests!!! HOW.. HOW COULD SHE CONFUSE ME?
ohh but wait, it gets better.. after she and her family got to the line of the correct photographer.. a young couple asked me for photos XD
People also respected less the social distancing in MK than in the other parks. Too many cases of families gluing themselves to me or the persons near me.
A few well given stink eyes made them comply.
Also, some staff were kinda rude to questions lol.
Some were still gold stars.
I loved one particular dude in the mansion who had this creepy look.. like an undead dude even under the mask. Piercing eyes reminded me of those evil men villains from the 80's movies like Phantasm XD.
