This. For them and Bob, the loss in sales. Really, without the music, it is just a hotel lobby. At POR, it is just a lounge. I have stayed at some hotels with great lobbies, but people just pass through. On the way to their room, on the way from. Me, personally, I now have zero reason to stop by GF. POR is our favorite place to stay, but now zero reason to wander through the main building and linger. And if I am not out of my room, I am not stopping for a little dessert, a drink. You know, spending money. I hope they reconsider these decisions, once this is over.
From me GF will lose my Basin stop and a drink or 2:angelic: without the orchestra

Does Disney even need Imagineers any more it seems lately everything is based on IP's and build a roll coaster. Million dollar question will they be rehired when things turn around
I wonder the same. If Disney comes out with good deals like they did after 9/11, instead of pricing out middle class families, maybe they can turn around quicker. Sure, it doesn’t help that Disneyland cannot even open. Hopefully they will be permitted to reopen soon.

We have put upside down frisbees on our deck and filled them up with birdseed. We have so many birds visit us now. A male and female cardinal came a few times a day. I got to know their calls, but haven’t seen them for a few days. Have to check if they migrate. The cats love watching them, and it is relaxing for me to watch them as well.
They don't migrate, you should see them soon

Imagineering and also Disney Animation has always been a revolving door of talent. Over the years there have been regular layoffs in those areas. When Eisner was CEO there was a bomb of a movie called Treasure Planet. After that failure, many lost their jobs. For everyone struggling worldwide it's going to be a very different way to spend the holidays with not much celebration. Hopefully people are addressing mental health issues as needed.
My family loves Treasure Planet. It was underrated. Just my opinion.

If you know someone who is eligible to stay at Shades of Green resort they can sponsor up to 3 rooms and purchase tickets. Caveat is they must sign you in and be with you when you purchase tickets. I think a regular veteran can stay 2 months out of the year I believe Sept and Jan
Howdy @figmentfan423 !😉 I actually do know another family in the military that I told to stay at Shades of Green thanks to @figmentfan423 . They loved it. Cannot coordinate vacations though. Too difficult. I think for the forceable future we will stay at Uni and just drive to WDW, unless prices come down to earth. We are a larger family, six of us, so we always need the pricier accommodations. Even AOA got overpriced.

Too bad you can't go at the same time because even the suites are reasonable, heck sometimes 2 adjoining rooms aren't bad

Disney seems to be eliminating all the little things that makes WDW special, I realize revenue is down but please Disney bring it all back or you will just become another Six Flags amusement park
I said the same thing to my ds who alerted me on the Imagineer layoffs. That on top of the entertainment let goes is not good for the brand. Those performers created ambiance.

Before all this the guys decided our next Florida trip would be UNI. These moves seal the deal
I wonder how Uni is doing in relation. Haven’t heard much. Know the new Jurassic coaster will be done for next summer. Got an email the other day with a video of it. I won’t be going on it. It has a straight vertical drop. My stomach eon’t handle that. Ds of course said that he is all up for it. Don’t know if anyone will go with him. 😂

I go through 20 lb bags of birdseed in two weeks or less depending on how many squirrels eat with my birds. Cardinals like cold weather. They are the only ones that stay here year round.

That coaster looks like fun. They're postponing their 3rd gate

I have started to think that Universal is the new Disney. They can be excused if it strictly because of the Covid problem which has cost Disney Millions a day in lost revenue, if it is reinstated as soon as the actual all clear has been established. Because I am not obsessed with the "screen situation" (I like them and think they add a whole lot of immersion possibilities than the "robots" did.) I find them to be todays technology. I disagree with those that think the Disney needs to say in the last century technology wise. I know that Walt wouldn't have!

If there's one to watch more than once a day, it's The Princess Bride. I can quote a lot of it. That's one of my favorites.
And it's got such quoteable lines. I mean, mostly dead and all dead is strangely useable in daily life.

"Eww, the cat killed a bug!"
"Now is it mostly dead, or all dead?"

"We need to take down that tree. It's dead."
"Mostly dead or all dead?"

"My phone is dying"
"So mostly dead"

And once you get to all dead, there's only one thing you can do...go through his clothes and look for loose change.
