Currently in sweatpants, a tee shirt, and a hoodie. It is 55. It is like we went from summer straight to close to winter weather overnight.
Monday and Tuesday we were in the upper 80s again, but then yesterday it was back down into the upper 50s or lower 60s....sooooo nice. I'm glad to be able to wear a sweatshirt again....and drink hot chocolate!!

E woke up with a sore throat yesterday, so she's home from school. A is allowed to go as long as he doesn't have any cold symptoms and E doesn't have a fever. But we are going through a ton of hot chocolate because that's the only thing that makes her throat feel better.

How is your oldest doing in College? You mentioned a biology test not too long ago, I think....how did that go? Or maybe it was weekly quizzes?
She is doing great in everything, but chemistry. She has straight A's in 4 out of 5 classes. Chemistry is an issue. We are trying to figure out what material the professor is using for their daily quiz questions. She emailed him yesterday, and he told her to to go and use the resource department for a tutor. I was kind of dumbfounded. Isn't it his job to give advice? She asked what she should be studying to do better in the quizzes. My husband did well in chemistry so he has been helping her, but it is still rough. They spent a lot of time last night with it. She seemed happier when they were done. The professor handed out a syllabus at the beginning of the semester. They are a full chapter ahead of where they are supposed to be. I wonder if he is rushing through the program since they are supposed to be finished with this semester by Thanksgiving. Most of the kids are online at this point also. I wonder if that factors into his speed. No one is there to ask him to review something. I am really hoping that she can figure this out and improve her grades in this class. She is getting frustrated.

I like hot chocolate when I have a sore throat also. Honey works as well. I miss the 80's. I ordered a couple of new sweatshirts and some cozy pants yesterday.

Does he have office hours? I remember in college our profs were required to have certain office hours where they had to be available for students who needed to ask questions or get help. I imagine it would be virtual, but it's harder to dismiss someone face to face than it is in an email. Part of the problem might be that it's still the beginning of the school year. I don't know how many kids are in her Chem class, but I remember my Biology class was huge...the professors didn't get to know the students. They don't know that she's a hard worker and that she's used to independent study. They may think she's like a lot of other college students...there because it's the next step after high school and it's what's expected of them, not because they actually want to learn. And the online thing makes it hard for them to get to know the students. Yes, it's his job to teach and give advice, but it's also possible he is thinking her problem is that she's not doing well with the online learning, an.d as he can't really meet with her one on one, the best resource is a tutor? You might look into filing a complaint. He didn't even try to help her before passing the buck. If he's an actual professor and not a Grad assisstant, you could probably call the department head and see what can be done. And I remember there were many Biology sections with different professors, but they all worked from the same syllabus and material, and notes were available at the library in a certain building when I was in college. The department head might know which resources the quizzes are made from and can direct you.

80s are already too hot for me. My body just doesn't take well to it. I get all headachy and loopy and my fingers swell up and I feel nauseated. I much prefer the snow. At least I can DO something about being cold. I can put on a sweater, or wrap up in a blanket, drink some hot chocolate. There's nothing I can do for too hot. There's no AC, so the only thing is to turn on the fan, which just isn't effective for the really hot weather.

SO many questions about what led up to this.

Part physics problem.
Part huh???

And the fact there's no rider in this shot...
I don't know that a rider would be able to stay astride at that angle....or whatever happened just before this.
Probably fell off when it finally stopped. If you look just below the "y" in the word 'my', there is something on the ground. Might just be a body part. Whatever the case might be, if he didn't make it I'm sure that the coroners report will list "lack of working brain cells" as the cause of death.
