Both my sons and grandkids are in Gulf breeze FL just east of Pensacola, just talked to #1 son he said the water is rising and its been blowing hard. and Sally has yet to make landfall about 50 miles to the west of them in AL . Makes it bad is this storm is moving so slow and it picked up strength overnight winds 105. Praying they will all be safe and Sally makes a quick exit

oooh! well at least you have more time to practice driving non defensively? Go run people over girl!
I'm on it! Almost got to run some people over on my bike today on my way home from the Centrum. Same exact situation....except the kids crossing the street were teens and they couldn't see around the semi if there was anyone coming from the other direction. (It's a pretty dangerous spot. The kids all go to the grocery store there on their lunch break at school, and the grocery store is positioned so that when you come out of the parking lot, there's not a lot of room before the stoplight on the corner, so traffic often blocks the entrance/exit to the parking lot and kids have to go between the cars to cross the street and can't always see what's coming.) They got out into the street and one of them said "Oh! The light was green! I couldn't see that car" and I was on my bike. But I did try to let them go first because it wasn't their fault and I knew if they couldn't see the car, the car couldn't see them either, and I didn't want them stuck in the street with an oncoming car that might not stop in time. One of the kids actually waited for me though, and the car actually did stop. I'm totally going to fail at not driving defensively. It's so ingrained in me at this point! What can I say, I'd rather hit the brakes than hit a person. I never thought that would make me a bad driver!

@Songbird76 I wish Spotify/Amazon Music had a way to just block all or Adele's music so I wouldn't have to skip it every time one of her songs came on. 😑
Does it not? I don't use either...I kind of value silence now when I'm alone. But I remember my brother having Pandora, and he could block things he didn't like....but I don't know how that all works. But yeah, I'd block Adelle, and Josh Groban, and Katie Melua.

Well at least one of the 2 colleagues got a negative for corona, so that's good. Still waiting on the other. And we got an email that a teacher at E's school tested positive. We think probably her math teacher because all her math classes have been cancelled for the last week. But so have her Biology classes for the past few days, so it could also be the Bio teacher. She was mad this morning because the App showed she actually did have Biology this morning first hour, but with a different teacher, but it didn't list a teacher. She went anyway, and found a locked door and no teacher ever showed up. Yesterday she only had 2 classes. I wonder if they will end up going back to remote learning because of a teacher shortage.

Pandora it was like you could thumbs down songs you didn't like...Spotify and Amazon music there's no easy feature unless you create your own playlists and leave the stuff you don't want off, so I usually end up yelling at my Echo to skip songs while I'm working. 🙄🤣
