Fireworks were being set off somewhere near us last night. Saw them far off in the distance. I know our towns July fireworks were postponed until sometime in September but I don’t think those were them. I really didn’t realize Labor Day weekend was a big fireworks weekend. They were done by 9.I'm thinking about starting a petition to ban the non commercial/non profit use use fireworks. 2am seriously?
Sounds like T had lots of fun. Did you make s’mores? My kid and a neighbor friend have gone thru 3 packs of sparklers, throwing them into the fire.
..but, it did make a neat picture.

Put away the Smartphones, cell phones, computer, etc. Since you live in N.C., you'll be in good company "hollerin'" across the region! (Even if hubby is out driving somewhere in his electric company truck, you'll still be able to holler him home for supper!)
There's a video in the story below -- I like the part where a woman teaches the 4 different kinds of hollerin'.
(@John park hopper , I "think" you're also from N.C., if I'm not mistaken. If you are, this story is also for you. Just think -- you and 93boomer could holler at one another! )

At a time before texting, cell phones or even electricity, hollerin' was the way farmers in Spivey's Corner, North Carolina, got messages across to each other. For nearly 50 years, the town kept the tradition alive with the National Hollerin' Contest.www.cnn.com

I wonder if that will be everywhere or just in the US. I want to see it, but I don't want to pay that price to watch it at home. And if it's out here December 3rd, happy birthday to A! Although I'm not sure A will be that interested in it....maybe it will just be a slightly early birthday present to me!Fence sitters, Mulan live action will be on Disney+ for free December 3rd. I want to see it but $10 a month is a bit much to have it early for us
