When I was first married, we lived in an old wooden building in the city. I knew she slept well, but one night I woke up and could smell smoke. I didn't panic right away but got up and found that it was coming up the inside stairway to our second floor apartment. I felt the need to investigate further so I woke my wife and told her I could smell smoke and that I was going to check it out. She simply rolled over and told me to let her know if she should get up.

Turned out that a Cathedral close by had been torched and was burning down. There was a strong north wind that was carrying burning embers down to right in front of our apartment. Nothing had caused us any problem at that point, but I kept a vigil through the night as my wife slept away. I was worried that some of the embers might land on the roof and cause the place to burn down. The next morning I check outside when there was daylight so I could see and discovered that the house had a slate roof that wasn't about to catch fire. I probably wouldn't have been able to sleep anyway. I can sleep through noise, in fact, most of the time if we have a nighttime thunderstorm I don't know about it until somebody asks me if it kept me awake, but I know that I wouldn't sleep through any knowledge of a close by fire. BTW, my daughter said that she felt the earthquake last week in NC. She lives about 10 miles from me (north to south). So I guess I just don't feel the earth move much anymore.

So, finally seen the Star Wars rise of Skywalker and I was thinking at first "It can't be that bad, right?"
Yeah... it was pretty bad.

There were some gems there and here.
But it was obvious that whoever the director was smoking, was horribly strong.
There were so many scenes that made no sense, didn't fit or didn't link with what the flow of the movie was going on.
And it makes me wonder just how much Disney forced to cut down in the movie for duration, censoring or policy reasons.

Also the ending.. lmao
So, the entire skywalker bloodline was finished and only the Palpatine one continued..
"Skywalker rising".. sure...

Both he and the Lt. Governor are saying they recognize the whole health of kids, including mental health, and future health. They have been talking for the past hour about the decision to allow competitive play for all youth levels.

My heart is so full for all athletes, especially competitive and high school!!!!

Out governor has recommended there be no school sports until January. He did say it is not a mandate and schools can do what they want. PIAA which runs the interscholastic is meeting on Friday. There is a rally today in Harrisburg to keep the sports for the kids. Private run youth sports are still continuing. If they (PIAA) cancel, then many kids will run to private clubs. The inner city and less financially able kids who use sports as a way to get ahead and stay out of trouble will be the ones hurt by this if they don’t play.
