Speaking of kids' shows, when I was little, there was a local TV show hosted by a clown, and the kids all thought he was a riot. Anyway, one of my brothers was in Cub Scouts, and the mothers of the boys decided it would be fun for the troop to attend a show. (Each show had about 30 kids who got to sit on perimeter stage benches, and be on camera for the show.)

So, the mothers got tickets for the boys, and drove them (about 16 boys) to the studio. I also went along for the ride, because I was too young to stay at home by myself (I was about 4 at that time). My mother told me that only the boys could go on the show, and that I'd stay with her and the mothers, behind the scenes.

Before the show started, the producer called up the Cub Scout troop to go and sit on the benches. My mother watched me (in horror ... :hilarious: ) literally crawl on the floor between the producer's outstretched legs, and then BOLT toward the benches and sit with the boys!!! :p (Then the show started, and no one pulled me out of there.) :joyfull:

Oh, and we all got swag bags after the show, on the way out! (Candy, little coloring books, crayons, etc.)

Oh, believe me, I remember it as the original too, and I almost posted this one with the explanation of what was for what...don’t remember when they removed the Chiefs head, or even if they ever actually did...?! 🤔

I contemplated using that one as well, but opted for the plain one. Now we have them all. I don't remember it being anything but with the Indian Head, but by the time they disappeared I was out either in the military or working. No more Capt. Kangaroo until my kids were old enough to want to watch it.

Daughter in law #2 sent picture last night seems they went out in the boat Wednesday for about 2 hours and when they got home there was water everywhere in the downstairs, ceiling was wet, walls, carpet etc etc --upstairs bathroom the girls use was wet and the sink was running. Just a general mess --long story short one of the girls (suspect Tesa, 6 year old) left the water running and the sink did not have an overflow ( thought they all had overflows). Talked to my son this morning at least he is laughing about it now as he said they were going to redo the girls bathroom this just pushed the redo date up.
Just looked up--- WORD OF WARNING -- all sinks do not have overflows and they are not required by code so if you have small children beware if they leave the water running
Wow, that sounds like a lot of damage. Hopefully they can dry it out quick and the drywall and carpets will be ok. All of our sinks have overflows.

I don't recall ever seeing the show, but I know that my (eldest) brother may have seen it. Reason is that when I looked up the show on Google, I saw Clarabelle the clown. I remember that he had a Clarabelle puppet, that he'd drag all over the place! Ha! :joyfull:

They got a company drying things out and the insurance adjuster is coming tomorrow. My son was saying he thinks the down stairs shower will have to come out.,they keep finding more water damage.
