Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
I'm hoping because it's such a big issue they won't be able to cheap out and we'll get an enhanced que, a ride at least equal in quality to what we had and some FOOD. I'm more upset about Frostrom, love Frozen hate that it was shoved into Norway
Can’t disagree. Sponsors are hard
To come bye

I like tomatoes in things. Salsa, pasta sauce, even if I make eggs or a quesadilla, I'll throw some tomatoes in. Or if it comes on a sandwich, I won't pick it off. But just to straight up eat or put on a salad....nope. My dad likes tomato stacks with motzarella...I'll take the cheese and leave the tomato. :hungover:

In the late 1990s Port French Quarter had an all you can eat breakfast with grilled steak and beignets piping hot and drowning in sugar!

Since the FC lost its Table Service restaurant during the resort shut down immediately after and then a great deal of time it never came back again and a great loss. It was an excellent restaurant with unique southern flavors and superior the the Boat at Dixie/Riverside. We opened both sister resorts in 91 and 92. FQ still struggles in QS seating and length of wait during moderate to busy times tossing guests into bar areas for overflow. Not the best as beverages, condiments etc are in the 'real areas.' It worked better in the first years vs now but I still love the resort. It is beyond tranquil and relaxing. I find it to be a great resort for guests with young kids given its small square footage for tiny legs. The River for both resorts sets a calming nature after day/night in the parks, decompresses. The very reason I don't care for the value resorts which are always crowded and packed in giving little relief from park time.

I try to ignore the poor decisions of yesteryear of both resorts. We try and stay at one or the other at least once a year. The Beignets in their current service from the Bar in the morning is a welcomed addition avoiding the food court. I find these sister resorts to be the best on property to walk and relax, sit and watch the ferries. Can't find a deluxe resort better in the evening for atmosphere.

For any MA members on the forum, the Governor has announced that there will be a tax-free weekend coming up, after all. :) It's August 20 and 30, for retail items up to $2,500, purchased IN Massachusetts. (It's really good for people who are looking to buy new appliances, as sales tax on the more expensive items, really jacks up the overall price.)

These items do not qualify for tax-free weekend: all motor vehicles, motorboats, meals, telecommunications services, gas, steam, electricity, tobacco products and any single item priced over $2,500.

That was part of Wisconsin's problems when the state supreme court made their ruling.

Illinois at the time was under stay at home orders, but the citizens decided to go to Indiana and Wisconsin instead. I know there were reports from the media that people from Illinois went to Lake Geneva and they were not practicing social distancing at all. They also were not wearing masks also:facepalm:.

Wisconsin already has enough idiots. I do know one of the stores that are not encouraging people to wearing masks the way it.

What one of the cities in Wisconsin is doing for 4th of July fireworks makes me shake my head. That city announced 4th of July firework will happen, but will not be announcing location before 1 hour before the fireworks start.

Talk about a recipe for disaster with the 4th of July -- announcing 1 hour ahead? I'm just thinking about the traffic mayhem en route for the mad dash to the location, itself. Yup, that's just for openers . . . 🤦‍♀️

E looked it up and it was on Facebook. I'll put it in spoiler tags because there is some bad language some may choose not to read.

I know stuff like that does appear places but when I read stuff that is that far out, all I can think is TROLL. Let's post the most outrageous things the we can come up with and see how many people buy it. Even the entitled aren't that awful. A pain in the butt or maybe even one thing that upsets them, but that was to much to be real.
Should have done this at the same time of outing of Dixie Landings. I can’t imagine what Disney was thinking in the late 80s that Song of the South was a good idea or theming a resort in 1992 to Dixie Landings and a Cornell Incharge of a Cotton Mill. I still have the original Refillable Mug for Dixie Landings as we were there for the Grand opening of the resort. My DD was 2 months old. THE CHARACTERS WERE MINNIE AND MICKEY and Somg of the Sough Characters As is the mug.

I do wonder though out of the millions of non Disney loyalists how many guests Ever caught onto the theme of the attraction. I’m guessing most. We here likely have more insight.
Simple answer... just about none. It is a inner circle thing and even we, as fans have had very little exposure to the movie. Even the fans still think that it is about the song of the south and not about the Uncle Remus stories. All the characters are from the books. That, by chance, were used in the movie. No original thoughts involved. I guess we could say that the parts used in the ride (Uncle Remus Stories) were pulled from that specific part of the movie and the movie pulled that part from the Uncle Remus Stories. Uncle Remus is the fictional title character and narrator of a collection of Black American folktales compiled and adapted by Joel Chandler Harris and published in book form in 1881.

When I was a kid and local tomatoes were in season, I used to have whole tomatoes and one of those restaurant style paper salt shakers and eat them like an apple. Man, I can still taste them, but that was when tomatoes weren't altered with chemicals to make them travel better. The real fresh field grown tomato flavor was to die for.
