Nothing wrong with some social life. It's good to lead a balanced life with attention paid to your school courses, and also enjoying friendships as well.
Thanks so much. I already know my Senior year will include English Literature and one of the following: Psychology, Sociology, or Economics. Then the rest is up to me. I will continue to take my Concert Choir class and most likely another Art class. Then there is a Drama class that I would like to take that looks like fun. At my school they also have a period for the Seniors which is a Teacher Assistant class where they help a teacher for a period with like photo copying or really anything that they need done that is mindless work. I will take that as well. That is 4 of the 7 classes right there because the elective classes are alternating days. So I am only going into my Junior year this year and have more than half my Senior year schedule already. I will also continue with cheer and definitely will not miss the Spring musical my Senior year or any of the dances. I just have to get through what looks like my hardest year which is this one coming up.

Nope, never gonna do it again. It was just stupid. I look at a lot of my peers in school and they do it or smoke cigarettes and it is so stupid to me. They know it is bad for them and they still do it. I don't understand that. I did the vape the one time because actually the smell of it smelled good, but when I did it there was nothing. So that was it. I will never do drugs and none of my friends do drugs other than drinking sometimes. No drugs though ever. Not even smoking weed.
Let me give you a financial tip if I may. It's a stretch and sacrifice but if you stick with it you will see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Age 22-65
Invest $400 monthly into Vanguard Index mutual fund without fail
Average rate of return 6.5% Inflation 2.5%
At age 65, your net worth will be valued at approx $500K.
If you decide to invest more, your net worth will be oh so much more!👍

Had 3 extra kids at my house today. While they were all playing I took the power washer and cleaned off the crud on the swingset. I didn't know barnacles can grow on plastic. Not really barnacles, but they looked like them. We have one of the Amish swingsets that are coated in plastic. Looks as good as knew now. Power washing is so addictive. I need to find more things to power wash now. :hilarious:

When I was a manager of a Scrubway...the owner told me to do an Roth IRA. Not the Irish republic army. Best advice ever.

Good plan if you were born wealthy. The first 10 years are usually the most expensive with the least income. Paying rent or mortgage, buying furniture, feed a burgeoning family, providing transportation for that family, food, clothing, medical costs and even minor degrees of socialization sometimes use up all that extra money and more that would have been wonderful to invest for the future. But, under those circumstances the future seems a long, long way off and that you have plenty of time to save up for that. In the meantime, bills must be paid.

I've known younger peers in their mid 20s, that daily spend at Starbucks, lunch at work, dinner a few nights out a week, happy hour on Fri afternoons, etc. In a month that's over $400 dollars spent. It can be done but not without giving up on things and not making a lot of excuses why it can't be done. The people I know who retired early were not born with a silver spoon in their mouth, scrimped, saved, live below their means, and invested.

Decks and block walls are good to power wash. We did them several weekends ago. We fight over the power washer!🤣🤣

Found out today is national fudge day.

Since today is national fudge day,
I'm giving a link the bakery section of a food market that has fudge.

Here's the link:

That link has 2 fudge pictures besides the other food it shows.

With all the cr*p going on I needed to watch a feel good movie last night. Youtube has Hoosiers on for free. Since I had never seen it to my husband’s surprise, we watched it. It was so good and perfect for making you “feel good” to be a human. I love sports movies.

Me too.
One of my favorites is “Field of Dreams”.
Love the whole movie, but, the last scene at the end where he plays catch with his dad gets me EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
Reminds me of when me and my pop used to do that all the time years ago when I was playin’ baseball (and my 2 younger bro’s, and younger sis when she played softball), of course. I know my pop still has a glove and ball, and so do I.
May be time (when all this Carprona calms down) to do that again...just no fastballs for either of us at 57 and 87...!!!!! :hilarious:

One of my kids fought with me over it last week when we were finishing our walkways! I let her win of course. Never say no to a kid wanting to help out. I did feel like I was getting cheated of fun. ;)
My dad mostly does the power washing. I think I’d be afraid of it like I would start daydreaming while doing the deck and hit my foot or leg with that powerful spray. 😄
