Speaking of sewing I muslined a pair of shorts today:joyfull: Now I just have to find time to make a few minor changes to the pattern then make a few pairs this week
That is a skill that I suck at. I had to learn how to mend things (to get by) when I was in the service. I could sew on buttons and fix a minor tear but other then that I am helpless.** Funny thing is that at one point I collected the old fashioned pedal drive Singer Sewing Machines. I bought them at auctions in Vermont for anywhere between $5 and$30, cleaned them up and sold them as working models in the Boston area if they wanted them more for show than sew. They had quite the markup. I sold them for between $150 and $300. Never did learn how to use them. My wife had an incredible ability to create things with her sewing machine, I could only look on her with envy.
I did sew my stripes on my uniform, but they were always crooked. I finally gave up and paid someone to do it.
Edit... I forgot to add that at one point I had 35 sewing machines in my basement in different stages of repair.

Nope, never gonna do it again. It was just stupid. I look at a lot of my peers in school and they do it or smoke cigarettes and it is so stupid to me. They know it is bad for them and they still do it. I don't understand that. I did the vape the one time because actually the smell of it smelled good, but when I did it there was nothing. So that was it. I will never do drugs and none of my friends do drugs other than drinking sometimes. No drugs though ever. Not even smoking weed.
They make it smell good on purpose to suck young people in.

It seems like everyone one here is really smart or has kids that are really smart and then there is me. I just don't seem to fit that. I mean I do try but it is sometimes hard for me to stay focused as I get sidetracked into more social things and I know that is my fault. It isn't that I don't try hard, but no matter how hard I try like in the Math and Science I just don't get it. The English and History stuff, I do think I could get A's all the time in and I do get B's all the time in those subjects but I get the lower grades in those subject because I have to spend so much time on homework every night with Math. So my Senior year I don't have to take a Math it would have been either Calculus(No Way) or Business Math. Which is the Math for dummies like me or Seniors who failed a Math earlier. I am also not good at Science and Physics is not something I want to struggle with my Senior year.

Nothing wrong with some social life. It's good to lead a balanced life with attention paid to your school courses, and also enjoying friendships as well.

Thank you. Both dh and I love to drive. My love started when I had my first peddle car. :hilarious: My dd is worried that if she goes to school on a road she will annoy people. I tell her to stick to the right lane on the highway. Our highway where we live is only two lanes per side anyway. Told her on the side roads to not go below the speed limit and also told her to not worry what others think.

Also, it depends upon where you live, how much you need to drive. In high school and jr. college, I always took public transportation and never had to drive a car. Many students commuted only via public transportation. I realize that many places do not have public transportation though, and it's a necessity for many people to drive to school.

I am not much of a drinker but at times some ways to get through a flight is a good stiff drink. In response to Covid19, American and Delta are banning alcohol sales in flight. Looks like some carryon luggage will be filled with some 3oz plastic covered beverages.
I don't usually drink on the plane unless I have a drink coupon. It's better to stay hydrated while you're in the air, and alcohol can dehydrate you.

BWI has some great bars; that's where I go before my flight. Or to the Mexican place and get a Margarita.

Southwest is my preferred airline and they're not on that list.
