Yeah.. I’m going to start allowing it once the rain stops.
Day cares are opening, but most camps for school aged kids are still closed.. doesn’t make sense to keep the older kids alone when other stuff is open. It’s time for them to see their friends again.

Plus, I am soooo sick of the video games!!!
My youngest never used to use her iPad much. She complained constantly about how her older siblings were always on their phones or iPads. Guess who is on her iPad more than anyone else now? Yep, the youngest one! Constantly talking with friends on Facetime or during games like Roblox or Minecraft.

Lockdown or no lockdown the annual Memorial day weekend is happening right on schedule. Seeing it's just us the menu will be condensed by a little bit. The guys have a chicken, bison dogs and a "flat" of sausage thawing and sides will include salad, potato salad, smoked mac and cheese, baked beans and cornbread.
Made my first vegan mozzarella today. Just enjoyed it for a grilled cheese sandwich!

Is she the one who’s T’s age? He plays Roblox.. it looks so stupid to me. I bought ‘Robucks’ for him (I think that’s the name of the currency), and then found out that he gave half to a friend. 🤣
I told him to make sure to not do that with strangers!!

I bought elastic waist pants., does that make me officially old? 😂😂😂

The Columbia Omnishield which are supposed to be water resistant. I haven’t tried them on, fitting rooms are closed.. but I thought they would be perfect for hiking, won’t snag like my good leggings would.. and less sweating than cotton leggings. Anyone else used them before?
Or.. do you feel like you’re too young? 😂

I bought elastic waisted linen pants from J. Crew factory this morning. I generally never buy elastic waist pants for myself. I did worry for a minute that maybe only much older people wore them, but for $12.95 I bought them. Needed some lighter pants and didn't want to spend a lot. Worth the risk of being thought of as old. :hilarious:

I might have to check our their site!! I feel like the J. Crew Factory store has changed their fabrics. I bought a few cardigans last year, the material was horrible.. nothing like my regular J. Crew sweaters.
I used to buy a lot of T’s toddler and pre school clothes at the factory store, never had a problem with them, material was nice and soft.
Linen would probably be fine though., and that sounds like a great deal.

I didn't tell the story about how I messed with my dad for his 60th birthday, did I?

Well, of course, none of us celebrate our birthdays; they just aren't a big deal. So he didn't want anything special for his 60th. Well, I decided it would be fun to remind him how old he is...so I programed Alexa so that when he woke up it said "Good morning. You are sixty years old today. Do you feel old? You were born in 1960. The year is 2020. And a computer is talking to you." Then he would find sticky notes all day that just had "60" written on them. In random places. His coffee maker, his steering wheel, his iced tea pitcher, his keyboard, his closet door, his bed, his chair...just everywhere. And then I got ahold of his iPad that morning, found a picture that said "60" and left that up in Chrome, so when he unlocked it, that was the first thing he saw, and then when we were eating dinner, I'd set a reminder on the Echo saying "Hey, you're 60!"

So basically I have to actually figure out something nice to do for their 35th anniversary this year. 😂

Anyway, I enjoy messing with people.
Good thing you don't have my dad as a parent because you found your match;). Out of anything, it would be daughter like father.
.
Back when my dad was working, he was known to "keep people on their toes" and lighten up the mood for other co-workers that are in his dangerous profession. He worked with electricity as as a foreman later on.

You don't want to know what to know what he can do to my mom's dumbo collection that includes stuffed dumbos as his definition of fun. Don't worry, none of the elephants in my mom's collection were damaged.

I have a stuffed Dumbo collection. He'd be in such trouble. 😂

Oh, don't worry, my dad has pranked me his fair share over the years. This was payback.

I have said the same thing about the masks, Used to be that only criminals wore masks at stores. I have actually read about some gas station quickie marts that do not want people wearing masks because the employees feel unsafe. They cannot tell who the criminals are.

I read something similar about the masks and not knowing who the criminals are and I immediately thought of our bank workers in town. There was a bank robbery there this past fall. So I’m sure they are a little nervous about seeing people in masks at their workplace.

I haven’t worn pants that don’t have an elastic waistband since March 14. 😄
