I took the hundred dollars that I would’ve spent on the stupid sign, and instead spent it at Michael’s trying to create my own quarantine birthday party theme. Should’ve just bought the stuff on Etsy. 😂

One of the items is 150 balloons, hopefully I can use an air compressor to inflate them. Has anyone tried this?

Gosh, I need a Party City so badly right now.

I would never think twice about the field I went into young (working for the airlines)
OK...but my friend is working in the Nursing Home in which people have died from Covid 19. Other patients with Covid are still housed there. It is not surprising that her daughter.....well aware of her mom's daily worry, is now reconsidering her own career path as a doctor.

I bought a helium tank at BJ's last week (on sale) and in the past I've seen the same tank sold at Target and Walmart.

Well, their hands are kind of tied as well with restrictions. Who knows when PA will start to open again. Guess they just made that their goal.

May is only two weeks away. I don't see them opening then.
Our governor said that he doesn’t plan on keeping the state locked down past May 1. He said reports that came out earlier today that referenced PA as being one of the other northeast states that would stay locked down until May 15 was false. VA governor is keeping it locked down till June 1. I don’t think that will hold. Ohio is opening up May 1.

Hi friends! My friend from church just told me her daughter who was going to start medical school this Fall no longer wishes to do so. I would imagine that all across the earth this is happening in the hearts and minds of others as well.
This has really made those young ones think about what taking care of the sick could really mean.
My oldest dd who starts college in the fall wants to be an endocrinologist. None of this has changed her mind, If anything it has made her more determined.

Yep. I predicted protests and unrest.,,And that’s exactly what happened. You can hear the protesters during the daily conferences now. I think the politicians have realized that Americans are getting antsy & angry, and need to start to resume some type of normalcy. There will still be a lot of rules in place on social distancing, and not everything will open, but, it’s a step in the right direction.

What day is T’s bday? And as @high plains drifter said, you can get a helium tank at Target. Check their app and see if they have one available. They also have plenty of party supplies.

I made a huge mistake thinking that Party City was open for curbside.. it’s only certain areas, so now it’s too late to order what I wanted elsewhere. Which was the number “10” balloon and various other happy bday styles. Target doesn’t have them, at least not at nearby stores.

I’ve covered his ceiling in helium balloons before. This year I was going to cover the floor with 100 balloons to wade thru. The other 50 are going to be hung from streamers down his hallway so he has to walk thru them , and then a few stuck to the wall in other places with signs. Kroger is still doing helium balloons, so I’m going to get 3 of Happy Birthday to place 1 in a piece of cake shape for bedroom, a square shape on the dining room table, and just a round happy bday on lamp post.

Does that make sense?
