Not that this is a surprise to any of you, but I am beyond lame at times. So, my bank (has about 12 area branches) notified customers yesterday, that their hours will still be the same, but that they're temporarily (due to C. virus) shutting down the bank lobbies.

Instead they'll be using the drive-throughs and ATMS on site. (They did leave two branch lobbies open, but the locations are not convenient to me.) Never used a drive-through before ( :jawdrop: ), and I've only seen SUVs, etc., use them. I have a low to the ground, fart car. So I asked hubs if I needed to see a teller in person, could I walk through the drive-through, and wait in between the cars in the line? He nearly lost it. :hilarious:

Most of what I need, I can do with the ATMs. But, I like the peeps in my local branch bank, and what if I wanted to say hi. Hubs mentioned to me that it's some sort of insurance liability issue for the banks, that only vehicles can use the drive-through lanes. Ugh. :cautious:
You shouldn’t have an issue with the drive through. Ours has these tube thingies in the lanes not directly at the teller window. There is a canister in it and you put a withdrawal slip or checks in it and then put it in the tube. Push a button and away it goes to the teller who will then send it back to you. I love using them. They are fun to watch.

Don't worry. I'm younger and have never used the drive thru either

Chase is closing banks here in Chicago. I bank at US Bank, and they are leaving things alone. I go into the bank every Friday to get my husband cash, since that's how he likes to do things. I use my credit card mostly. I can't imagine the germs on Cash station machines. I don't drive, so I have never used a drive through.

Oh my. I use the drive-thru for everything I can...bank, fast food, Walgreens pharmacy, etc.
BTW...you can say hi from the drive-thru...! ;)
