Yes, but Easter is a week prior to their arrival. The kids are missing a week of school. Half of the trip is during their Easter Break (the Clearwater portion) and then missing school for the following week at Disney.. hopefully the crowds won’t be too bad during that week!

They are all booked at AoA suites, I wasn’t able to talk them out of it.. but there is no way that I’m getting one too. I think it’s stupid to begin with.
Some schools have that week off

POP is right across the bridge, so that might be a good place to book if you really hate AoA that much. Plus they have the better food court!

Really? After April 20th? I was hoping that would be past all Spring & Easter Breaks.

My sister’s family went this same week last year which wasn’t busy, and is the main reason they’re taking the kids out of their sports and school. If it ends up being busy & T missed baseball and soccer and school, well, I won’t be the happiest camper. lol

Northeast schools may be off then.

This is room only for 3 nights at AoA with my pin code, before any tickets.

Is it strictly because of the gondolas?
It just looks so crazy to me. It’s more than AKL and WL.

Did you check the LM rooms? In your shoes I'd likely stay in POP, because it's close but much less expensive and the rooms are better than the AoA rooms

Is that a suite or Little Mermaid Room? Or is that POP? Is that for 3 nights?

It’s for the Cars suite at AoA, which is what both my sister and parents each have.
LM rooms aren’t available, my only option there would be a suite as well. That’s the price WITH my pin code. 🤦‍♀️

I’m sorry but I’ve looked at a million pictures and there’s no way that looks ‘worth’ that amount of money to me. We stayed at All Star Sports pre cruise in November of ‘17... but that was after arriving to POR and not wanting to deal with how far my assigned room was, so we switched to preferred at Sports, and although it was 2 nights, we were only there one day.. so it made sense to do a value.... and it was only like $160 per night.. can’t remember exactly but I think it was under 200. I’m going to check.

I would check POP. It is literally a short walk over the lake.

Oh good lord.. WHY!?! Just WHY!? I do print mine and I think I keep about 5-10 years back. After that, it gets pitched!
Ah yes. This is what we call obsessive compulsiveness. :hilarious: He also refuses to do online banking and saves every receipt he has. In shoeboxes.

Other example: before I went to Hawaii when they were already in Hawaii, I got a text from my mom. It said something about outfits for Dad. I got home and called her. I thought there was an outfit he forgot and really wanted. No problem, I get that.

That was not what he wanted. He had a list of his outfits and what goes with what. He wanted me to bring him his outfit list.

I went into his office, looked for about 30 seconds, and said nope, too bad. It turned out he had it with him the entire time. But really. An. Outfit. List.

Are there any circumstances that one should keep their tax copies that long?
No, 7 years is all that need be, but I didn't clean out my file until last year. The earliest I had was 1983 the year I bought the care home. I kept it because it ran at a paper loss for the entire time I owned it. I kept expecting them to notice that and ask questions, but they never did. Paper loss is because the depreciation of the building(s) amounted to more then the cash profit. Not to mention that my mortgage was at 18% when I bought it and I never could get them to renegotiate that number. Why would they, I kept paying it month after month, year after year. So, they ended up having to eat it when I turned the property over to the bank and it belonged to them. It's a long story why it no longer was viable to keep running, but I got out of it. It didn't supply the comfy retirement that I made the investment to have, but I didn't have the debt either. Maybe if they had realized that I was paying way to much interest it might have lasted a while longer, but that wasn't the overlying reason that it was going to lose due to a change in the desires of the mental health community. Life always makes some weird turns.

Thanks. I need to purge some files too.

If you want to be close to your family, Yacht is too far. POP is the most convenient since you can just walk it.

Nothing available at any of the values, with the exception of suites. Maybe something will pop up closer to the trip.

I might not be able to stay close to them, and I can’t take him to a different resort.. the whole point is for him to be with grandparents and cousins. Gosh, I just can’t justify that stupid AoA suite for me. Not saying that I don’t want to stay near my family, but literally I don’t want to spend that on this hotel. They have 4 people per room so for them it makes more sense. Does that sound jerk-y of me towards them if I stay somewhere else?

I’m only going for 3 nights, they’re going for 6 nights. Maybe T and the young kids could stay one night with me.. and the other adults go to dinner or something.
