Today was our annual eat food and watch a movie xmas party for our department... I went to see It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. I hadn't watched any previews so I didn't know what to expect... but I didn't expect that! I liked it, but it was kinda dark~!

So, wait for it to come out for rent?

I had a surprise tonight. Hubs ordered some Ample Hills ice cream. He got my favorite flavor Nona D’s Oatmeal Lace, it was like having a little taste of the Boardwalk Resort tonight. Yum!

I dunno, I'm glad I saw it on the big screen, all those old sets, and the details... you might not get the same effect on a TV.

I'm watching all the Star Wars movies before Rise of Skywalker. Or so I intended. I was going to start with Phantom Menace, but somehow New Hope is on my TV. Now how did that happen????

I received good about the cooks I helped with my mom. I read people liked them. My mom made 4 types including Chocolate Chip Cherry chip cordial cookies.

My dad also did make 4 kinds of cookies that I not help with, but the bottoms of the cookies did not look like they were in the oven too long.

May I stop by your house, and help myself to some cookies, please? I'll bring milk!

I LOVE local lighting displays. Reminds me of my childhood, when my father had us all pile into the family car, and we'd drive around to various areas, gawking at all the pretty lights! (Some were like the display you showed, and others were just random houses that had exceptionally gorgeous holiday lights.)

Great photo! The only thing that would make it more special, was if there was snow on the ground.

Last night the temps here were around 15 degrees, and the sky was sharp and clear. (Yet, another reason to love cold weather.) I also saw the bright full moon up in the sky -- it was awesome!)

I've got it "easy" this year because I'm only cooking for Christmas Eve, NYE and NYD. Christmas dinner will be at the inlaws. Some people think cooking 7 fish dishes in one day is easy

Go easy on the fish. Maybe reduce it to 4 maximum. Not everyone likes fish.

We do the feast of the 7 fishes on Christmas Eve a combo of fish and shell fish. 7 fishes are each prepared differently and in order from apps, soup, salad, main courses. It's a no meat day but there will be veggies and pasta for veg heads and cookie platters for those who skip out on the fish.
