I am going to be making tomato soup, a lasagna, and a veggie loaf today.

Since I feel crummy with this cold, could you please set aside a plate for me? No need for a beverage, as I have milk here at home. Just the dinner would be fine.

I have Hulu, Amazon Prime, and CBS All Access, and I will have Disney+. One of them had to go. Prime is obviously not going anywhere. Hulu comes with Spotify, so that wasn't going anywhere. CBS has Star Trek, so that needs to stay. So Netflix got the boot.

Just bought 2 Roku's for our tv's today. If it works good enough, we may be on our way to cutting cable.

“Because I can’t push them or be aggressive, that’s why we lost last time against girls.”

“What? Do you think girls are made of glass? Those girls pushed all over you. You play against girls the same way you play against boys. They’re tough. They don’t need you to act like they’ll break.”

“It’s not nice to push a girl, mom.”

“T. Stop. You’re on a soccer pitch. Play soccer. The girls are just as tough if not tougher than every boy on your team.”


This kid has a mom and an aunt who both love sports and get out there and play sports. His aunt still plays on a team with men. Where is he getting this from?

Perhaps some of the boys outweigh the girls, and possibly an accidental injury could happen. Both teams may be equally talented and athletic, but this thought did just come to mind.

On another subject, thought I'd share that the Sunday Boston Globe had an article on the front page. about how a number of referees for school team sports, are leaving. Some examples included increased interference by (some) overjealous parents. Some were actually threatened. That's crazy. ( I'm sure most parents are respectful and just want the rules to be followed by the teams.)

Most of the girls are taller than the boys! I told T to “Play like the girls did” prior to his outdoor game.
In all seriousness though, if they were older it would be different, but at age 9 the boys don’t really have an advantage against the girls.

I believe it about the refs. Parents can be obnoxious. I’d say there’s definitely more obnoxious parents than bad refs. It’s sad. Clubs and schools try to control it, but it still happens too often.

I think we should have 25 hours every day! It is before 12 and I am done cooking! So I made the veggie loaf, and with the extra made veggie balls. Made red cabbage salad, homemade ketchup, veggie lasagna, tomato carrot soup, and apple cookies.

Same here got all my cooking for today done except I still have a few quarts of apples left and the guys are still debating if we need more apple sauce or apple butter I don't know how to break it to them they're getting sauced Tomorrow's cooking list will include baked ziti, roasted cauliflower, roasted asparagus and a blueberry crumb cake.

Sarah surprised me last night with a leather jacket. It fits nicely, but for some reason my area skipped the "mildly cold" temps and went straight to "Freeze to death walking to work" cold, so it's doomed to sit in my closet until spring

The like is for the jacket and I'm hoping you get some warmer weather so you can wear it before spring

No!!!!! No!!! No!!!!!!! It’s FALL. Thanksgiving season!!!

We had pre made wheat pancakes (microwaved) with fresh blackberries on top and pre packaged egg whites (did use the stove for this) for breakfast.
Store bought salads from a salad bar for lunch.
Boneless chicken wings at a restaurant for dinner.

I did make coffee too, so maybe that counts as cooking.

Officially cancelled Netflix. It's good until the end of the month, but then it will be no more.
