Category was the American Revolution. It was basically "This pamphlet was written in 1776 in support of Independence."
Common Sense by Thomas Payne.
"I've been reading Common Sense by Thomas Payne. Some men say that I'm intense or I'm insane. You want a revolution; I want a revelation, so listen to my declaration...
I actually knew that. Probably because I have been through American history so many times in the last 9 years. :hilarious:

@SteveBrickNJ

Me, as a little kid, in Jersey. My mom just shared this on FB. She’s the one in the denim short shorts.

Really sad that everyone else in this photo is deceased now,.. but I have so many wonderful childhood memories with them! :)

...with the exception of my bowel cut.😡;)

I also remember pictures just like that from my family's album, too! ;) Question: did you mean a bowl cut? (Look at your word above.) :p

@SteveBrickNJ , Brick New Jersey was on our news this morning! A WWII veteran turned 102, and got over 2000 cards from all over the world to wish him a happy birthday. I thought that was pretty cool. E was amused that he read the front of one card and said "Happy one-hundred and two-eth birthday!" instead of " Happy one-hundred second birthday." To be fair, the card was in crayon, so I figure it was probably a kid who wrote it, and it just said Happy 102 birthday with no nd or th. And at 102, who CARES how you read it?!!

It’s actually a lot more than the moderates! I talked to my sister about POFQ, but she thinks the transportation system will be worse, and she doesn’t want the smaller room.

I’m now trying to talk them into WL (which didn’t go so well when she threw in my face that I complained about the size of their rooms), and BWI. I still think WL will be the best choice if they really don’t want to spend the money on a monorail resort.. but at the same time, this is my parents’ last trip.. 20something years they stayed at monorail resorts.. they should be able to do it this time as well.

The thing is, this was supposed to be a grandparents/grandkids trip.. if she wants to go then they should stay where my parents would have stayed, imo. That said, I do empathize with the sticker shock, I wouldn’t pay the prices of where CR/Poly/GF are at right now, but if a discount comes out then they should switch.. in the meantime, switch to something with a pool slide and a full service restaurant and less walking.
When was this trip supposed to take place? I'm still way behind, so maybe you've already gotten it straightened out, but if not, I'm wondering how the gondola accident is featuring in their current plans. Everything I've seen has said the gondolas are indefinitely out of service, and wasn't the skyliner one of their reasons for staying at AoA? I can imagine that would change their plans significantly if it's unavailable.

.., although it’s still helping the local economy whether we book thru the tourney organizers or not.

Went to the Doctors this morning and also had a blood draw. As the nurse was taking my blood we were discussing aging. She was upset because she just turned 50 and her grandkids told her that she was halfway to 100. I told her about my oldest that turned 45 this year and was depressed about being halfway to 90. I snapped her out of it by simply saying, I'm halfway to 142.. care to trade? She decided 45 was pretty young. I really am not wanting to live to 102 unless I die at the hands of a jealous husband.

Nice your in my happy place! Enjoy!
I didn’t want to take up a post in your tr thread. I just looked at pictures of one of the new rooms at Movies. I like white myself, but aside from a maybe 12” x36 “ headboard picture, the room decor is sparse. Here are pics I found.

Aside from a bit of green paint in the bath area, and the one picture, there is no color at all. It is just cold. Not even an area rug. I get that it is easy to keep a vinyl floor clean, but they could put in an indoor/outdoor area rug that is easy to clean. They make plenty now that are actually nice and have a comfortable underfoot feel. I just don’t see anything inviting. Granted you are just sleeping there. I get that, it is just that it is Disney, and I want to know that I am at Disney when I stay there. Like I said, that could be a Best Western, or a Quality Inn anywhere. That’s just my opinion. Don’t hate me. ;)
