I have been liking MOD pizza lately. They have a gluten free crust available and dairy free cheese! I usually have them put just about every veggie they have on the pizza. For whatever reason that shocks the pizza makers. Well, it’s their rules and I want to get my money’s worth. ;)

No surprise to me that Texas is tied for 5th worst, these days...!!!!! :hilarious:
Take a bunch of folks from all over different parts of the country, with all kinds of different driving styles, with so many moving to one of the fastest growing parts of the country, put ‘em in a bag, shake ‘em up and HUBS and mayhem will ensue...!!!!!!! :joyfull:;)

And surprisingly I have lived and driven in some of the safest driving states.

I know what your thinking, why didn't she answer her phone or try and call me. Simple her phone was locked in my car and I had the key.

Good grief. I'm not a fan of hauling around a phone either, but certainly on vacation with thousands of people around, it just would make good sense to keep it on her. Bet she kept it with her after that experience!! ;)

As for the reburb of WOD, I don't think it's as fun as the older setup. Rarely find anything I like in there, but if you have kids (or grandkids as the case may be), I'm sure the stock has quite a few things that would interest them.

Wow, your poor sister. Bet she never left her phone in your car again after that.
Not this trip anyway, I was kind, but was asking her why the hell she left it there and when she told her son about it, he got pretty critical about it as well. It seems that this wasn't the first time she had done that or that he had been upset because she didn't answer her phone because she had left it home or in her car. Judging by the way she approaches technology you'd think she was 8 years older then me instead of 8 years younger.

When we were at Uni dh wanted to leave his phone in the room a few times. He just didn’t want to carry it. I said “no”. You never know what will happen. Who will want to split up, etc. Of course before cell phones, there would be a plan, like we meet at so and so at this time. Nowadays you don’t think of making a plan because you assume everyone has their phone on them.

Hauling a 3 ounce phone around just doesn't seem like much of a burden especially in a place like a theme park. It is so easy to get separated and not easily seen. She has had the propensity since she was a very young child to just wander off. She did that at a open house at a huge Air Force Base with thousands of people in a crowd, when she was about three. I thought my mother was going to have a heart attack. After that she was forced to go the harness route. Without it she would probably still be lost. She hated the harness and even into adulthood was angry about being humiliated by having to be "tethered". Even 4 years ago when we went to Europe together, she would disappear. If I didn't watch were she was every minute I would lose track of her. I started to intentionally lag behind her when we were walking. Otherwise she might see a "Squirrel" and I'd be a mile ahead before I realized she was no longer behind me. She is a highly intelligent women and yet, those particular life lessons never took root.

Yup, that is true about WoD. My grandkids are all in their high teens. 17, 18 and almost 20. I have one young enough, but, I don't want to just buy for one. Besides I get her enough things through the course of the year and her birthday and Christmas. I just don't buy any souvenirs at all anymore. I did buy two Disney T's to replace two worn out ones that I threw away, but not at Disney. The gift shops that line the highways just offsite have a lot of Disney merchandise with the Disney label for about a quarter of the cost of the same thing onsite. Yea, I know I'm to cheap to be a pure Disney fan. I just keep thinking that if I live into my 80's I'd like to be able to buy food for myself and I won't be able to if I spend more money then I have. I blame my parents, if I had been born rich, I wouldn't have to be this frugal.

Ohh I need to see if DD has one near them. He eats gluten free and she’s gluten free and dairy free.

DWifey and I have been to both Newark and Trenton back in the late 80’s. Definitely an eye opener back then, especially Trenton.
Not sure what they’re like now, but, hopefully, much better.
Newark's changed quite a bit, I'm not saying all of it's nice but there's not one neighborhood I'm afraid to walk in. Trenton is interesting as by the main government buildings it's well patrolled and there's a few nice places to eat and on the edges of the city there's a couple of nice neighborhoods

Speaking of cats, do any other cat pet owners here witness your cat getting the poop scoots? (Yes this is my term)

It is when the cat is done using the litter box and takes off running to the other end of the house and back.
I honestly don't pay that close attention to when they're doing that...except for when I'm doing laundry and one of them comes into the laundry room (where their boxes are) and do it right in front of me...
