I'd love to tell this one external person at work the same thing I told someone at a doctor's office a few months ago: "This wouldn't have happened if you bothered to do your job correctly."

Somehow I don't think that comes across as very professional, though...

Always hard when you start a new job -- takes time to get to know everything and relax. Hang in there -- you're doing well.

Congratulations! The first couple of weeks somewhere new are always hard. Don’t take on more than you can handle though. If you cannot do someone else’s shift, don’t. You don’t want to get burned out right away at a new place. Kind of wrong for those people to ask someone new anyway. They probably assumed you would cave because you are new.

Dh got done a little early from work today so we went for a walk in our local park. This is a view towards the east.

There were kids on the soccer fields facing the other way and I didn’t want to seem like a weirdo taking pictures of kids I didn’t know.
The day started off cool, but it got into the 70’s at least so cannot complain. We went to Mod pizza after our walk (just the 2 of us). This rarely happens. We even decided to eat there instead of taking it home. I was so baffled at this (We rarely ever go out alone together.) that I forgot to take a picture of my pizza. I got a cauliflower crust with tons of veggies and dairy free cheese. It was yummy.

Oh I know. I already had one woman ask me 2 days in a row if I wanted to take her shift saturday and I kept telling her Id have to check the schedule, lol. She wasnt there today and im off tomorrow and saturday .

Nothin’ crazy here, but, thanks for your concern...!!!
Heard about it on the radio on my commute home, but, haven’t looked into it any further, yet.
We did get a good shower at the office about mid afternoon, but, nothin’ close to flooding.
It’s been so dry here lately the ground just soaks it up.
Best I can tell, we got nothin’ at our place 15 miles north...just more glorious heat again...!!!!!!!

In No Cal many put on light jackets or sweaters in the mornin’ and evenin’ in the summer.
If someone is doin’ that here in the dead of summer, their internal thermostat is off in a big way...!!!

My youngest turning 9 in November blows my mind. Seeing the very independent person she has turned into boggles my mind. I am so lucky I get to spend so much time with my kids because they just grow up so fast.
