I was near the entrance to Cinderella's Royal Table resteraunt one day walking around when I saw the doors open, I had never eaten there before so I thought it would be interesting to look inside. I walked toward the door and a cm asked me if I had a priority seating. I said no I just wanted to see what the inside looked like. She said no problem and she took me inside and let me see the entire resteraunt for the most part. Then she escorted me out and then she showed me a medium sized metal circle near the door ( it has been a long time now so I am not exactly sure where) and she told me that is the center of Walt Disney World. I thought it was interesting but u probably all know it.

Cool....so the center of the known universe is in Epcot. SWEET!!!!!!!!!!:D
Yep!

Remeber everybody Epcot was invisioned to be a full city, with monorials branching out to the various places of lesiure and housing devolpments. Epcot is in the center, just as invisioned by Walt!

That is a cool spike in the Magic Kingdom, DL has one too, just behind the castle.

A few more centers.....

The geographical center of the lower 48 states lies outside of Lebanon, Kansas, in the middle of a hog farm.

The geographical center of all 50 states is located 17 miles west of Castle Rock, South Dakota.

The geodetic center of the U.S. is found approximately 42 miles south of Lebanon, Kansas. (Note: A geodetic survey makes corrections to account for the curvature of the Earth.)

The center of a chocolate covered cherry is gooey !!

Yea, people need to realize what everything revolves around. Who said the sun is the center of the universe? LOL
according to Einstein and the theory of relativity, any point in the universe can technically be considered it's center for an observer, so..........

(just for the record though, the sun is considered the center of our solar system, not the universe; sorry, had to be pedantic)

I've seen that done before once or twice! It was cool, but it looked like the Cast Memebers felt really awkward.

That's SO awesome! That is just as exciting as like in the Western US when you stand in like 4 states at once, but being at the center of Disney is SO much better!

As a past Epcot CM myself, didn't we have to take an oath to secrecy on that one!? lol But yeah, I went through the same embarrassment over all the loud speakers too. But I definitely teared up with happiness too lol.

The center of WDW has moved in recent years however..."Management" sold off some of the land. I'm pretty sure it's still in EPCOT though.

Yeah, the logo in Epcot represents the center of the property at the time EPCOT Center was built. But as you mentioned, over the years they've de-annexed a few pieces of land (Celebration, the Four Seasons plot, etc), which had shifted the current center.
