can I like this about 1000x? I admittedly tend to rant about this as well, when most people just shrug and consider it irrelevant or not their business, so I empathize. It's just that so few places left have any sort of dress code at all...I feel protective of the ones who do.My only issue (and it's property wide, not just Toledo) is the lack of enforcing the smallest measure of dress code. I know that sounds snobby. But I'm talking about backwards baseball Caps and cargo shorts with flip flops.
You wanna wear a t shirt‽ fine. Not that serious. Golf style shorts‽ no big deal. Sneakers‽ Go for it. But a baseball cap indoors, backwards, and at night, in a fine dining restaurant?? Why?? Are you keeping the sun off the back of your neck? Flip Flops‽ This isn't a food court or the resort pool.
As a native Floridian, I honestly feel like this has become the norm, rather than the exception around my neck of the woods. People seem to think living in a warm climate gives them the perfect rationale to look and smell like...(insert favorite descriptor here) 24/7. We're talking weddings, funerals, baptisms, graduations, high end restaurants, live theatre performances. I now hate flip flops with a passion.Do we really want to downgrade these experiences with people in flip flops and inappropriate clothing ?
Or with people who appear to have not showered or groomed themselves in days?
Im going to make a Sexist comment here and its ok because I'm a Man! 100% of the times I have taken clients out to somewhere that requires a certain attire......Collard Shirt or Jacket and no jeans or shorts. it a MAN that is the problem. Disney should do what all places that have a code of dress provide a really bad fitting old smelly Jacket for a small fee or forego your reservation.can I like this about 1000x? I have another issue: having to see posts by people on these boards WHINING about how - despite a clearly posted dress code online and at entrance - the hostess or manager at some restaurant or during formal night in a cruise ship dining room had the "nerve" to remind them about the dress code and ask them to comply when they flip flopped their way in, demanding to be seated. (Of course, 99 out of 100 times, the hostess or manager caves and makes a "one time" exception. Sigh.
I definitely agree. There doesn't seem.to be any valid reason to keep the 2 pm rule in place. Perhaps I'm missing something tho.I think the no park hopping rule until 2pm is stupid. I understood when there were boarding groups for Rise and Rat but now that those are gone the time could be changed (or even better eliminated). When I was at Disneyland this summer the time for park hopping was 1pm (their second boarding group was at noon) better than 2pm.
I tried to give him a gentle nudge today but he ignored me. Maybe if I talk about masks he will pay attention
