I like big butts and i can not lie!Whenever we're on the safari, all we ever get are pictures of animals' butts. It's nice to know that you are continuing the tradition.
For my pictures to be reviewed by a professional of your stature is a gift in and of itself.Great landscape photography starts with beautiful items in the foreground that draws you into the image. In addition to the daring using of a low angle field of view, the leading lines created by the cigarette butt leads us right to your subject which is...eh, the vehicle or maybe the sign...no, got to be the pavilion! Regardless, just another stunning example of your photographic genius!
We lucked out last trip. Yes, we wanted the tomato soup and new grilled cheese, but why not buy a Figment bucket or two while there. Unfortunately they were not running separate lines; all one line. I didn't update this in our latest trip report yet, but I was one of those who stood in line. It was day two of the Arts Festival and it was a one hour wait later in the day. I wanted to buy 6 buckets because there were three of us, but my daughter talked me down to four buckets. Her old College Program roommate was visiting her in two weeks and Figment is her favorite so I left one in Jacksonville for her roommate. Three Figments are staring me down right now in our dining room....You dont say. Last one to Baseline buys!!!
I showered up and put on my Bob Iger outfit since there is a dress code where I was headed.
I am going to have to fully agree with you on this one.My only issue (and it's property wide, not just Toledo) is the lack of enforcing the smallest measure of dress code.
Or maybe it’s just their first time at the fancy restaurant and didn’t realize that it’s actually a fancy place and they were just trying to get the best bang for their buck from the DDP so that’s why they booked it and they promise they’ll dress nice next time (not speaking from experience ) they also apologize for bringing a baby (again, just an assumption, never experienced it myself nope).I am going to have to fully agree with you on this one.
Setting a minimum level of decorum (dress, behavior , language) at finer dinning establishments is a good practice that should exist everywhere - the "its Walt Disney World" excuse is not a valid reason for me.
People go out to nice places for dinner to celebrate milestone events.
There might have been a special birthday, wedding anniversary or a graduation meal happening while you were there.
Or there might have been a very nervous person working up the courage to ask their soulmate to marry them!
Do we really want to downgrade these experiences with people in flip flops and inappropriate clothing ?
Or with people who appear to have not showered or groomed themselves in days?
For me it comes down to respect for others - even if you do not know them and will probably never see them again
The golden rule is still valid - treat people the way you want them to treat you.
I guess we were both brought up right!

I've done it on our first cruise. I didn't know there was a formal night. Felt like an idiot but I was hungry. I was presentable in a sundress but my husband, son, and son's friend looked "unacceptable". Lesson learned.Or maybe it’s just their first time at the fancy restaurant and didn’t realize that it’s actually a fancy place and they were just trying to get the best bag for their buck from the DDP so that’s why they booked it and they promise they’ll dress nice next time (not speaking from experience ) they also apologize for bringing a baby (again, just an assumption, never experienced it myself nope).
Very very much agreeing on your dress code remark! Some could not be bothered.. but then again.. people these daysI was having dinner at Toledo! (Resraraunt on top floor of Destino Tower)

Steak was cooked to perfection, medium rare. And the Brussel sprouts!! Amazing!
The lighting was not working with my phones.camera, hence the somewhat blurry photos.
I have to give this place highest marks. Food was great. Drinks were awesome and the service was over the top. My waitress was on point. Really can't wait to take C here. The atmosphere is romantic and you can't beat that patio view.
My only issue (and it's property wide, not just Toledo) is the lack of enforcing the smallest measure of dress code. I know that sounds snobby. But I'm talking about backwards baseball Caps and cargo shorts with flip flops.
You wanna wear a t shirt‽ fine. Not that serious. Golf style shorts‽ no big deal. Sneakers‽ Go for it. But a baseball cap indoors, backwards, and at night, in a fine dining restaurant?? Why?? Are you keeping the sun off the back of your neck? Flip Flops‽ This isn't a food court or the resort pool.
I know, these are minor issues. And C reminds me that it's Disney, not the Ritz Carlton. But for me, its the principle. I also feel that it allows the restaurant to set a proper tone of the establishment when they tell a guest that they need to remove their baseball cap before entering. This prevents it from becoming a sports bar.
I ranted about this to C when I called her later that evening. She told me to be quiet and go to Victoria and Alberts next time if it thats serious. Lol.
But I had a great experience. Can't wait to go back!
ETA: I ordered the specialty 50th cheesecake to bring back to the room. It has a pistachio style icing on the side. Ot was surprisingly good. View attachment 616447
