The Boat House construction at Disney Springs The Landing

Most likely some type of signage...similar to the Springs Bottling Company. I looked for it in the concept art, but I can't see any done of that particular angle.

Edit: Found one. The concept artwork is slightly different to the final product (no surprise there), but there's a sketch of some type of signage up there.

Makes sense. Thanks.

Looks like they've color matched SSR for at least the Green and Blue. That should tie this in nicely with all the villas across the water.

Photo update as of Friday, Mar 20. In this photo of the Boathouse docks, there is now a collection of 4-5 outboard motors on a stand in the center of this dock. Currently covered in plastic, I expect these are just for show as you stroll around the extensive docks and to the bar on the pier. Also, blue lighting fixtures have been installed on the docks.

There are no photos to reveal, but as you walk around the building at night, you can see through the windows that interior fixtures are on the ceiling and walls, artwork installed, and other features visible inside the Boathouse. Construction continues at a fast pace on the interior. In the below photo on the extreme right, there is a large pile of empty shipping boxes (much more than visible here) that is probably interior furniture or other fixtures recently installed.

Sounds like it won't be to much longer until this opens.

The exterior of the building that's still just painted beige still annoys; everything else has received such nice attention to detail and fits together, but those walls and roofs are just being silently ignored, even though they are very visible from several places.

It's a minor thing, but I don't get it when they've done so much work to make it look so awesome otherwise.

Maybe they are putting in some sort of sign or logo on that wall. They would probably wait until construction is nearly complete before installing it. Something that identifies Disney Springs/the Landing or even just the Boathouse itself from the water. Throw in a few of those boat/car things in the water and I would think the camera shot posted above would be perfect for marketing materials or websites to showcase the waterfront dining loaction. No clue if that is the actual plan (it's not in the concept art anywhere), but I agree that it stands out as a bit odd with the colors on the rest of the buildings around it.

is that beige part part of the boathouse, or is it the building behind?

maybe its just a sightline they haven't realized yet, and your right that there is no sign on the boathouse yet, so who knows

I think it is part of the boathouse (which is a huge building). I think that the building in the 3rd picture below is the same building.
Photo update as of Tuesday, Feb 3. A wooden deck is being installed over the metal grating surrounding parts of The Boathouse. Here are three views: The Boathouse lake view deck, the outbuilding on the pier, and the back building facing Fulton's Crab House. In the last photo, you can see wooden posts installed for a railing.

unfortunately it does appear to be part of the boat house, which is a departure in building style from the concept art, that was all one story with a low profile roof

i know concept art isn't architectural drawings, it definitely looks way better in the concepts though.

This may be my memory just not being what it once was, but didn't the very first concept art show the landing area as primarily 2 story white buildings? I think a lot changed from original concept. They also showed an indoor shopping area which is gone now too.

Edit: this one

never saw that one, but glad they didnt build that one, its just too big
I definitely prefer what they built. The colors are much more vibrant and they made the Boathouse appear to be several smaller buildings instead of 1 large warehouse. It looks great from the water.

Photo update as of Sunday, Mar 22. The construction walls were moved back slightly to expose one corner of the building at the base of the tower. This alcove with the overhead light doesn't lead anywhere, it's just behind a small landscaped area that was behind the wall.

The opening on the right side goes into the service and backstage areas.
