Le Cellier's mushroom filet. Yachtsmans filets are also pretty good, though I've had a couple of bad experiences with them.

Okay so without being idiots, and jerks, oh and arguing...What place in YOUR OPINION has the best steak on WDW property? I do not need a why...just a WHAT. You get ONE choice. No need to explain why it is better than Le Celier or worse than Le Celier, or better than Kona, or worse than Kona...plain and simple. Best steak.

Okay a picture is welcome.

We have dined at many places to get steak around the World. Our top 3. 1st - Le Cellier, 2nd - Le Chefs de France 3rd - California Grill. We have not been to Yachtsmen yet.

Jiko!! My husband and I have eaten at most of the contenders mentioned, but Jiko has him hooked! I didn't make a ressie for them for this trip and my DH almost threw a temper tantrum! So back to Jiko for steak it is!!

I read in an article last year on the food blog that you can still order the filet with mac & cheese at Jiko. Does anyone know if this is still possible? We have reservations there in October and that's what I want to order.

The only steak I've had at WDW was at Le Celier. It was pretty awesome.

Yes, it's still possible. I will say, though, that I think the thing that really makes that steak is the red wine reduction, which is still part of the filet on the menu. No need to go off-menu just for a side of mac and cheese. The new accompaniments are an even better complement to the meat.

Hrm. We'll be doing Jiko's again this trip. I wouldn't think to order the filet, considering we have Le Cellier and Dine with an Imagineer booked as well, and both have great steaks.

With everyone saying it's so great, maybe I should reconsider!

It's a great filet, but I think there's so much more on the Jiko menu that is even more unique and representative of what the restaurant does well. The filet is easily the most "tame" entrée on the menu.

Yeah. I had the duck last time. As I recall, the kid had a steak though (I'd need to go check my trip report)...

The duck was simply perfect. It's good to find good duck, even at a quality restaurant, because it's so easy to under cook or over cook.

This is a very interesting thread for me. My dad is most definitely a steak and potatoes type of guy, so I knew we would hit a steak house. My original idea was Le Cellier, but I have seen so many opinions and reviews about it having gone downhill. We have a res at Shula's.

Does the filet at Jiko have any seasoning on it (as in a rub)? I would like to go there, but not much for my dad to eat. And he won't eat a steak that has any rub or such on it.
