The Apprentice 2

I think I should....but I don't see Trump even considering an 18 year old in college with a lot of business knowledge (but no real background in a company) heading one of his companies. Heck, they keep saying the one gentleman is too young and he's probably like 25.
The producers and marketers would LOVE you though.

Any reason why you say that? That's what everyone keeps telling me and saying it's one of the main reasons I should apply....but I want to know what makes them think I could do so well with it.

I think it would be BECAUSE you are so young. The business savvy would be an unexpected surprise, making you a much more intriging character (because everyone on reality TV is just a character) and much more appealing to younger viewers. The chances of you actually succeeding are in all reality quite slim, but you would be a young face (a lot like the Harvard kid this season) that would be able to hold their own. The package would be something that could carry the show well, at least until you (probably) get fired.

PS- And I don't mean to make it sound like you couldn't win. It's possible. However, like you said, The Donald most likely would not like such a young person to win the show, but I don't think you should do the show to win. I think you should do it for the fame that being so young and actually performing well would provide you (You could probably get a job as soon as it's on air...)

Well thanks for the kind words and encouragement, I'm going to fill out an application for the show tonight or tomorrow while I'm at work. I really think this would be good for me, and maybe help me with getting the great job at Disney I've really been wanting (CEO, but anything in the upper management would be good enough for me). I love watching the show as a Resort and Theme Park Management along with a Business Administration (emphasis in management) double major, any business stuff gets me interested.

Good Luck! Just be sure to invite me to some fancy shin-dig.

I loved Carolyn's line in the boardroom about how Stacy hadn't shown them anything in seven weeks. She dodged responsibility and contributed nothing of value to any of the tasks. And her ideas? Nutty. How in the world would they have recouped the investment in doggie outfits by selling Polaroid pictures in one lousy day? Answer: there's no way.

I could deal with her lack of talent were it not for her general nastiness.

I'm with you, Tramp, on your two favorites (Jennifer and Kevin). I'd add Kelly to that list - I think he's got a chance to win, too.

Anyone still watching this show? There's been a lot of good drama the last couple of weeks. Elizabeth and Wes both got the heave-ho for not controlling their teams. Raj and Chris were fired for their dumb moves (turning a 4 bedroom house into a 3 bedroom house and whining/pouting, respectively). Also, as luck would have it, Maria finally got her well-deserved boot ("I am not a control freak!" Hehe).

As for the remaining contestants, Andy and Sandy look more competent each week, but I'd say Kelly is probably the favorite. Kevin's and Jen's stock seems to have declined a bit the last couple of weeks. Ivana, despite surprising me with an actual good idea this week, is still nasty and generally incompetent.

The best part of the show is watching Trump and Carolyn rip into the losers for their mistakes. Especially when said losers won't own up to making the mistakes.

Yes, I am still watching the show when I get to. It's interesting so far, but my brother thinks Donald is the greatest and is following what he is doing, he wants to be the next Trump. He even bought the apprentice season one and when you open it up it says your fired.

Tramp-

I have a friend I teach with who moonlights at the Hard Rock in AC. He said that when they are filming at the Taj (which has happened a few times now), they have huge signs and stuff warning not to go there if you don't want to be filmed. I saw some signs that they were filming in the area when I was down there last summer--it doesn't say "The Apprentice;" it's just a warning that they are filming.

Jenny... That's interesting. One of the fired Apprentice candidates said in an interview that they aren't allowed to tell people they are performing a particular task for the show because people might be more inclined to participate if they thought they had a shot at being on TV.

As the weeks to this show move forward, I'm beginning to think that Trump has his eye on Andy,

the young, Harvard smarty pants who seems to stay out of the line of fire. I think if he could pull off one solid victory as a project manager, he might very well win this thing.
At this point, there just doesn't seem to be a frontrunner. No one stands out above the rest. Oy Vey, the women in this group! Fire all of them!

I was THRILLED with this weeks double firing  Maria and her giant red lips have irked me since the whole QVC fiasco. She is always portraying herself as an expert in this or that. Then, when push comes to shove she just cant live up to her own hype. Wes should have benched her when she was wagging her finger in his face while bellowing at him to back off. Poor leadership from ole Wes.

My money is on Kelly who is very good, and Jennifer, who seems to slip by unscathed all the time.

LMAO  What's with Maria and those wild hand gestures and rapid eyelid movement? She was a walking distraction!

I've never watched "The Apprentice" but I would like to see Trump, at the end of the season, when there are two left say: "I'm just having a difficult time deciding who to fire, so I'll just fire you both. No one gets the job. You all lose. Goodbye." Either that or, "We're going to settle this with a Gladiatorial deathmatch. The winner will get the job as soon as he or she is released from prison."

This scenario has crossed my mind too and wouldn't surprise me one bit. I wonder if he's obligated to hire someone...and I wonder how the audience would react to such a thing if no one was hired?

I guess that would depend on who the final two were and how they performed in their last tasks. I mean, if it were like, Maria and that nasty little Stacy and he fired them both, I know I would stand up and applaud! : :sohappy:

...and am I the only one that wants to slap the smirk off Ivana's face? How can someone as catty and incompetent as this woman be on the verge of moving into the final four? And she made a comment about 'blondes' last week that Carolyn didn't appreciate.

LMAO  I think if she finds herself in the boardroom again, Trump will fire her no matter what the circumstances cuz she's obviously the weakest candidate at the moment. Plus, she's a witch spelled with a 'B'... :lookaroun

I'm still ticked at her for dragging Brad in the boardroom which led to his firing.
