I know they want it by the end of this year. But if there are further issues, who knows?
Gotta be a massive incentive to get it done for peak week.

The conspiracy believer in me says - no. If they were to open it, it would lower the wait times at the other “must do’s” in that park - thus eliminating the need to purchase a Genie+ while visiting epcot for the day. To them, keeping it closed saves on personnel AND drives G+ sales during the busiest time of the year. Yea, I know, they would never do that….

What’s the hold up? Is anything being done to the show or is it just general upkeep? It will be great to hear Voices again without power saws and hammers joining the chorus.

Make sense, I’ve noticed World Showcase as a whole needs some exterior work. Canada hotel, the Morocco tower, rose & crown all looking a little rough right now

They are not saving any labor having it closed. They are still scheduling the same number of operations cast. They are just hanging out in and outside the rotunda. In fact, when you account for the project personnel and engineering cast, they are paying more labor while it’s closed than they would be if it was open.The conspiracy believer in me says - no. Also I can assure you that what you are describing regarding Genie+ does not happen, at any level.

It’s really a shame how they’ve been actively drilling during Voices of Liberty sets. You’d think they could tell the workers to stop for 10 minutes during their sets. Disrespectful, honestly.
