I had also predicted a non-elimination on this one too. It was pretty funny to see them wearing everything, but now what? They'll have nothing to carry the clothes in unless some other team offers to share a backpack or something.
I was wondering that too, I dont think all of those clothes are going to fit in that plastic bag they give them to carry their passport in.

I am thinking that they are not showing something, becuase it seems like the other teams really don't like them, especially the mother.
I was actually about to type exactly that. In fact I had it all written, but then I realize I had to go to class right away so I didn't get it posted. I missed some of the beginning episodes, wasn't there a scene in the airport where they wouldn't give out any information to the other teams or something? Maybe something else happened their that we didn't see.

There must be something more with the Weavers that we aren't seeing, because none of the other teams like them. And no other team seems unreasonably mean (a la Jonathan and Victoria). I read in TV Guide that after the Schroeder's lost everything in Katrina, every team offered to help them out and give them money, except for the Weavers. And they live nearby, in Florida!

I hope tonight's episode is good. I want to see some good detours and roadblocks. What was with the instrument collecting and bird watching last week?

Did anyone watch last night?
I kind of hated to see those little rugrats go.
Me too. I got tears in my eyes just watching the little girls face. They were the nicest family there and those kids were not only strong and well behaved, but they were funny too. What a cool family.

I know editing can make a person seem much meaner once the show airs....but the weaver family was downright rude, and i don't think the editing had anything to do with it. they were insulting everyone while standing there at the yield, and I can start to see why everyone is ganging up on them. Boo to them.

the challanges were a bit more interesting this time. I would go crazy if I couldn't find that dang red bean!

Yet they also claiming to be SOO Christian and above the other families. Then they proceeded to stand there and say horribly rude things about everyone else.

I LOVE hypocrisy.

Their prayers are really starting to get on my nerves too. I'm not sure that "Please God, let us win!" type prayers are quite what Christianity is all about.

Ditto, if that girl pray's one more time...I love how they think that God has nothing better to do then help them find a bean.

Don't get me wrong. I feel very sorry for the fact they lost their Dad/Husband. I know everyone deals with greif in a different way. I just can't handle someone praying for every little thing every day then turning around and snubbing their fellow man. (and could that girl put on a tighter pair of shorts!)

I missed last episode, but I remember the episode before that the weaver's were telling the driver of another team's boat to go slow, and then later on the weaver's were complaining about that team being rude because they weren't encouraging the weaver girl that was at bat. That episode is when I knew that there must be something about the weaver team that they weren't showing us because all of the teams hate them, but the show is trying to make us feel sorry for them.

I've always claimed that this is the most exciting and watchable of all the "reality-based" shows.

The "Family" edition was an experiment that did not live up to producer's expectations, but is still enjoyable to watch. The editing at the end of each leg keeps it a surprise.

A good thing to come of this edition is that I bet lots of parents let their 7 and 9 year olds stay up and watch it because of the kids in the race.

The best story to come out of this year's version is that the Paolo's may actually come out of this a better family....which is better than any therapist could ever have done for them!

...and that's a good thing!

EXACTLY!! I really wanted to see them go this week. At least now they're in last place, so hopefully they'll be gone soon.

I hated to see the Gaghans go. I just love little Carissa. She has more maturity in her little finger than all of the Weavers put together!

this season is getting better. at first, everyone was likeable and adorable and we felt sorry for certain teams....but now we have a VILLIAN! I thought for sure they would make the Paolo's the bad guys, but they have kind of grown on me.

I was laughing at the weaver mom when she snapped and kept saying something like "I am tired of doing things I can't do" and then drove away from her kids as they stood there asking "where is she going?". I didn't mean to laugh, but isn't the idea of the race to do things you wouldn't and didn't think you could do!?

I cried when the mom, dad, and 2 little kids got eliminated. They are such a close family and tried realllly hard. I loved watching them....the little girl was so cute and ran a hard race.

Why do all the other teams hate the Weavers from Florida?

Yep, I figured it out in this week's episode. Praying to find the red bean, then saying such mean things about the other teams. Karma will catch up with them!
