The Amazing Race Family Edition

There must be something more with the Weavers that we aren't seeing, because none of the other teams like them. And no other team seems unreasonably mean (a la Jonathan and Victoria). I read in TV Guide that after the Schroeder's lost everything in Katrina, every team offered to help them out and give them money, except for the Weavers. And they live nearby, in Florida!

I Never heard this. And you are difinately correct, the Weavers do live in Florida. Daytona Beach, FL to be specific. The Kids go to my High School, so we are all hoping they will win. That TV guide story is one I never heard, so everyone just must have ignored it in this area. (either that or my friends who are amazing race fanatics stopped talking to me, which they didn't)

Our local newspaper gives them only postive support. It's a bit one-sided, but it's not everyday someone from our area makes it onto a reality show. The last time was when some guy made it on Who Wants to be a Millionaire, and that was during the show's 1st season! Like I said, it's not that often.

It will be interesting to see what happens.

Did anyone watch last night? I can't believe that they didn't eliminate anyone (yet) again!
I'm really rooting for the Bransen family now - they're the only ones who aren't whiners!

I also like the Bransen family.

I watched for the first time last night! It was pretty good!
I'm surprised the Godlewski sisters haven't killed each other off long before this! I don't know how they can stand each other.
The Weavers are just plain annoying.
I like either the Lintz's or the Bransens.

What's up with the camera's draining the car batteries? This is two weeks in a row it has happened. Last week it was the Godelewski's and this week it's the Lintz's.

I believe the finale is on Dec. 13. So, we likely have a one-hour show next week where someone (hopefully the Weavers) are philiminated. The week after that, Dec. 13, is probably a two-hour show with the final three teams. The first hour will probably end in a non-elimination so that three teams can race to the finish. It would be cool to have an ending like Season 2, where there was an actual foot race to the Finish Line.

At this point, I'm rooting for the Bransens first and Godlewskis second.

It's been an interesting change of pace to stick mostly to the U.S., but I'm looking forward to next season, when it will be back to circling the globe.

Any family where the sister says "Hey look at that tree with the big balls!" and the 3 brothers giggle like school girls gets my vote for favorite!

I think the Linz family has been the most entertaining for the show so far and they seem to be part of a great family.

The Bransen's are cool with me, too, but the Producers are missing a "golden moment" by not playing up the whole "aging father realizing His daughters are now stronger than He in many ways, but He is so proud of them that he will not let them down" angle. There was a moment a couple shows back where Wally made a comment to this effect and it could have immediately made them the emotional favorites, but the show blew right by it. I thought it was touching and sentimental.

The poor God"awful"ewski girls need some serious counseling! The way they treat poor Chris is shameful. I have relatives who drive me nuts, too, but I would never disrespect them the way the other sisters do Chris! I suspect there is a lot more behind this, but I bet their Christmas gatherings will be a little more stressful this year.

The Weavers are just plain strange. I don't want to disparage them here, but I'd feel a lot better about the show if they were not in the Final Three. They disturb me.

Can't wait for the big finish....which was filmed RIGHT HERE near me!!!

It bothered me that that acknowledge that the delay was their fault but they didn't give the teams any retribution for messing up. This didn't seem fair to me.

I feel the same way about this too, however it's the same as when they have had flat tires or vehicles that have broken down on past shows. Kind of just bad luck. It's kind of odd that both times that this has happened the day ended at a campgrounds where they were all leaving just 15 minutes apart the next day.

I thought I was missing something here. Not only don't they make retribution, but the team in question was so complacent. Something just didn't seem right about this.

Did anyone watch last night? I was glad to see the Godelewski's eliminated, but it's too bad that the Weaver's are still in the final 3! I'm still rooting for the Bransen's, but the previews for next week's show have me worried about them too!

I was glad to see the Godlewskis leave, too. Prior to this episode I wanted the Weavers to be eliminated, but the sisters really annoyed me last night. They have issues among themselves that they need to work out. And I think it all boils down to one person.

The Lintz's crack me up. The Weavers annoy the heck out of me, but, if they do win, they could probably use it. More power to them. According to them, however, it will have been divine intervention that brought them this far.

Agreed. Last night the Godlewskis actually topped the Weavers on the annoying scale, which was not an easy feat!

Ditto. My name is Kris and I felt like that sister was yelling at me for an hour.

Glad to see the Godlewskis go! They were especially annoying last night.
The Weavers really rub me the wrong way! Especially the daughters. Ugh!
Bransen family or Lintz family. Equally deserving.

It was pretty funny when the Linz family was talking about Buffalo Bill...

Megan: "Buffalo bill iwas a real person.

One of the guys: "It puts the lotion on its skin!"
