Did anyone watch "Elimination Station?" Dang...the other teams really don't like Maria and Tiffany!

I was okay with them going. I love how when they opened the clue listing both options one of them said something like "I can do either one really well...which one do you want to do?" And the other one said she could do either one too. FAIL!

I would have rather seen Brian and Erika go out last night. I'll give it to Tiffany, she was really trying hard to get to go into the dancing challenge. Both of those were pretty physically tough for women, but I think by the time they got to the golf they were just too physically tired to perform well. I am disappointed that they quit, though.

Saw that. & what was Zev's comment? are the girls not going to Vietnam with the others??

I'm wondering if that's because it's so close until the end of the race. Maybe the last few eliminated teams just go to the end city and wait rather than going all the way to Vietnam just for a few days.

Did I miss something, but didn't The Ken and Barbie team do the "bell" thing together ? when only 1 person was supposed to do it. shouldn't there have been some kind of penalty.

They didn't do it together. One of the guys from the team of brothers and the Meghan (barbie) helped each other out.

Wouldn't they have been eliminated anyway even if they didn't technically quit?

They were last and I seem to recall in past seasons that Phil has gone to the location and told a team they've been eliminated instead of waiting for them on the mat, but I'm not sure.

I was not a big fan of the poker players, so it was quite amusing to watch them fail miserably on both Detour options. One would think that such allegedly "smart" players would figure out the physics behind ringing the bell (force = mass x acceleration) and figure out a way to add acceleration.

My compliments to the Detour designers. I've never seen one where both options have multiple aspects that could be considered difficult:
Dance - Ring bell, learn dance, eat nasty fish
Golf - Swim cold river, play wacky golf.

My family is either borderline psychic or seriously in tune to the Amazing Race wavelength. Before the poker players decided to quit, middle son called the "Phil going out to boot doomed racers" scene was about to happen. Youngest son then reminded us of the hay bale rolling Roadblock and how one team never finished it. I remarked that she had tried for 8 hours before the mercy Philimination. Then, we saw the previews for next week with a repeat of the hay bales and a mention of the 8 hours of failure. If only we had this kind of insight with the Fantasy game (340 lousy points)!

I have 1130 right now. My husband has 755.

I chose the same teams for next week - Meghan/Cheyne (even though it looks like they might have trouble with the hay....but I've had them picked since the beginning so I'm keeping them) and the father/son team (can't think of their names.)

Phil going out there made me think of the hay bale challenge also. Mainly because I was thinking that if the girls did not quit they could be out there forever just like the sisters were. I felt so bad for the sisters when they were eliminated because of that challenge.

Yeah, I was disappointed when the sisters got eliminated, too. Although my reasons for mourning their departure were far different than yours (they were hotter than the Beauty Queens!) :lookaroun

Ken & Barbie showed the first sign of weakness last night. Can't believe that Ken made Barbie unroll all that hay.

Yep. They showed they are human. I was happy to see that.

Pretty sure I lost tons of points in the fantasy game. I had the father/son team. Ugh.

I was glad that the father/son team didn't get eliminated. They are probably my favorite. I'm just glad that no one was out there for 8 hours this time. Did anyone see Phil's face when Sam was crying? It was great!

I kind of liked watching Gary & Matt race, but they did make a lot of mistakes.

I really hope the Globetrotters beat the brothers. For one, the brothers could not be more annoying with their incessant whining. For another, the Globetrotters are a heckuva lot more entertaining to watch.

Next week ... cab stealing. What would the race be without one of their set pieces?

How is everyone doing in the fantasy game? I just checked and I have 1340 points. Our team has 819.

I'm sticking with Meghan/Cheyne and the Globetrotters again for next week.
