I usually pop in to try the special menu items - there's usually A LOT of them. But I don't stay much longer than I would on any other ordinary day.

I do have some interest on being there for the closing moment at 6 AM, but not enough to stay up all night.

I found this interesting on the Parks Blog post: After dark, along the Disneyland park parade route, 24-hour event guests will be among the first to see the new “Paint the Night” parade

So is PTN opening before the 22nd? Or am I reading too much into it?

Soft openings may happen though before the 22nd. I remember Parade of Dreams and Remember...Dreams Come True having preview performances for about a week before the 50th anniversary kicked off.

This has been a good day in the world of Disney! DHS Frozen Fun, 24 Hours at MK and DLR, and here's a little more info on DLR's 24 Hours:

Press release from disneylandnews.com: http://disneylandnews.com/2015/03/1...inning-with-dazzling-24-hour-event-may-22-23/

Soundsational's Staying!!!! Along with some Frozen Fun it looks like. I'll be shocked if Frozen's Pre Parade doesn't continue and Soundsational isn't twice a day.

Anyone know if WOC-Celebrate will bring more performances?

Soundsational was never in danger of leaving. I still can't believe they're spending so much money on Paint the Night - not too long ago such a thing would be unheard of for an American Disney park.

Soundsational will be twice a day on peak days as always, and PTN will be performed twice nightly on peak days.

The press release only mentions Frozen "fun" that was destined to stick around - the sing-a-long show, the meet-n-greet and the Fantasy Faire show.

So not really much by way of news in that release. Disney has still yet to announce the ride updates coming to Peter Pan, Matterhorn and Mansion, plus the Diamond Celebration exhibit at Innoventions.

So only Pan and Alice will be getting the updates? Too bad that the other 3 dark rides couldn't get as big as a budget and refurb time as the two.

Pan and Alice are the only two that have received, or is receiving work as of now. The other three could be getting refurbs, but we don't know.

I was just hoping DL would break the one parade habit.

How much money for PTN? Most likely higher than HKDL?

Music to my ears!

Any thought or news on Frozen Pre Parade? For some reason, I can't see it ending just because of May 15th or the 60th.

I can't imagine the Frozen pre-parade is going away anytime soon...but more importantly, who cares? It's awful and cheap. The first time I saw it and heard that the soundtrack was nothing more than the karaoke track for Let It Go...if you coulda seen my face.

I just saw the pre-parade last week for the first time. I wasn't amused, at all.

It literally could not have been done cheaper or quicker.

The biggest hit since The Lion King deserves better than a crappy pre-parade. At the very least they should have had Kevin and Jody design a real Frozen float for Soundsational. Would that have killed them?

Torn between thinking that the 24 hour party for the 60th launch is a wonderful idea or a terrible one.

Terrible: Overtly crowded, different atmosphere, and just overdone.

Wonderful: What better way to garner attention for the launch of DL60?

Either way, I won't be there... but I'm sure all the coverage will hype me up for seeing DL60 (hopefully!) later in the year. :)

I fully hope on a refurb for Pinocchio, Snow White and Toad too

Refurb isn't the right word for the right expectation. The correct choice of words is you hope the remaining three get plussed for the 60th.

Disneyland has made magic happen in the overnight hours on Fantasyland dark rides in the past without needing to close the attraction. The last such example was when Tony got the chance to play with projection mapping on Snow White in 2010. No closure, just new effects enabled overnight and a surprise the next day.

Alice needed to close for a refurb to get the tracks outside up to DOSH compliance.

Pan needed to close because of the scope of what is being done.

Hopefully, the other 3 get their moment in the projection light as well.

Agreed, there was never any doubt of Soundsational staying. It's a day parade.

I wasn't too worried, but it's good to have it confirmed. And, FWIW, I've seen Soundsational at night more than in the day, so in my mind it's a nighttime parade. :)
