As of Today, yes, it is still GM.

I'd like to hear an update on if there's been any changes since the week long refurb though, of logos, preshow and post show though.

I have always bought GM all 4 of my cars have been GM but I will probaly never by a GM car again. I am all for them getting the boot from TT.

i believe that this refurb will be for the removing of all things GM from the ride but i'm not 100% on that... i mean what else would they be doin though?

I hope GM doesnt leave, I will not be purchasing a Toyota Test Track t-shirt for sure.

Seriously?

It would be a great thing if Toyota was in the pavilion, there's so many cool things they could do. I've been to Toyota MegaWeb in Tokyo, the place is awesome!!

I haven't heard that but GM should be ashamed for staying as the sponsor. They were in such bad shape that they needed a bailout and they can still sponsor a theme park ride.

I hope they get another sponser, or a second sponser who will do a total refurb of that ride. The ride system is really cool but the theming is awful. A Test Track themed ride? In Epcot? Really? C'mon...

Ashamed? Not necessarily. Any business that wants to attract customers has to advertise. It turns out that sponsoring Test Track is actually a pretty good deal for GM. Here's a calculation I did in an older thread:

If Test Track averages 30,000 riders per day times 365 days, that's about 11 million people they've reached for about 54 minutes each (40 min. queue time + 4 min. ride time + 10 min. post show) for $1.5 million per year (a guess). Compare that to $2.6 million to reach 97 million people for thirty seconds during a super bowl ad in 2009 (Wiki and MSNBC).

Test Track: About .25 of one cent (one quarter of one cent) per minute per person.

Super Bowl: About 6 cents per minute per person.

Plus it gives visitors "hands on" time with the product in the post show. So the sponsorship is not as frivolous as you suggest.

I wouldn't discount GM so fast, they have a lot of new product in the works, and most of it is incredible. Just give them time.

I rode it yesterday and GM is still present (thank goodness).

You could smell the new asphalt in the building and certain areas were cleaner. Overall, everything is as it was including GMs presence. :king:

did you see any pontiac, saturn or hummer logos?

The Pontiac Solstice that has been in the queue was still present and I believe the little Hummer from the old ads was still around. I didn't really go logo hunting though. The Chevy Volt concept had been removed in favor of the new Camero.
