test track

I went on the day it reopened, and nothing appeared to have changed. Even the ABS test replay cameras are STILL broken, even after the refurb. I couldn't spot any small improvements anywhere, so I really don't know if anything, if at all, has been tweaked.

Test Track does go down for maintenance refurbs once in a while, so I'm sure this was one of these. (But still, I would have expected them to at least fix those ABS cameras.)

As of Today, yes, it is still GM.

I'd like to hear an update on if there's been any changes since the week long refurb though, of logos, preshow and post show though.

In the post show, the wood model of the H3 Hummer at the edge of the gift shop is now gone since the Hummer brand was sold off by GM in the past year.

The Hummer wooden model was there in October 2007 and August 2008, but during my December 2009 trip, all that was left was the steel platform.

Oh, and the automation line with the video monitors of autoworks describing their job, right outside of the picture gallery, is still around, as is that futuristic h-wing car.

Still, would love to see the return of the "Lean Machine" in the postshow or robot and bird.

GM had a huge increase in the Chinese market last quarter. They were up 35% in sales due to a Chinese govt. cash for clunkers type of thing. They are really focusing on China right now. I doubt they are going to lose their sponsorship if those sales continue.

Do you start every post like that?

Hi-ho, Kermit the frog here, technically, yes, I once did a WDW Trivia Challenge on Visions Fantastic as Guy Smiley from Sesame Street, and I didn't start my posts there with that. I start them that way because it's what I always started my lectures with on Sesame Street.

Just my thought-

Actually Test Track could be sponsored by any company. It doesn't have to be an automobile manufacturer.
Look at all the companies that buy advertising space on NASCAR cars. A lot of them are not connected to automobiles, such as Tide detergent.

Test track could also be sponsored by a company that is connected with automobiles but not a manufacturer of cars themselves. A motor oil company, or a custom wheel company, or even Mattel 'Hot Wheels' toys.
Or Goodyear tires.
