Is it possible? There is 1920 model T sitting behind the wall which was in cars. Plus McQueen is a Chevy corvette. So could it happen? I hope not

Most definitely not. The Model T used to be the queue itself, hence why it's in view all of a sudden.

Cars is most definitely NOT coming to TT.

The sign on the construction wall says "Test Track presented by Chevrolet. Fall 2012". What more proof do you need?

(and thank god Epcot is not getting Cars)

McQueen is a corvette? I thought he was just a standard stock car and Jeff Gordon's character in the second movie was a corvette.

It suddenly dawns on me that ChevTrack will be neither based on a cartoon character nor a celebrity. What excellent development! There's hope yet for EPCOT! :sohappy:

I don't know why everyone hates Cars. The first one was a good movie and there definately is not an over abundance of them in the parks, unlike pirates.

I don't particularly liked Cars, I think it the weakest of the Pixar movies,.

However, that to me is not the issue. By default I resent any cartoon franchise from creeping up in EPCOT. Whether I think it brilliant or mediocre.

I have to weigh in on this one as both a Diznee-ite and a gear head.
FIRST: Mc Queen is no way shape or form a Corvette

SECOND: Any old truck found in around or on Test Track property is going to be an old Chevy or GMC truck. Most definately NOT a Model T which was made by Ford Motor Co from 1909 to 1927

Good...the ride is fine without pre-existing characters... of course if they want to create an ultimately awesome new character (think Figment as an example) that would solely be EPCOT's then perhaps that would be another story all together.

Cars and Pixar don't belong in Future World, not even Wall-E.

I thought the Three Caballeros was pushing it in the Mexico ride when I rode that, instead of just an generic but needed update to the original 1982 El Rio Del Tiempo attraction. Pixar should stay in the other parks, mostly DHS.

^ Agreed. Characters in EPCOT make me ill. Surprisingly, many people seem to be okay with the 3 cabs on El Rio, but I find the ride absolutely horrid.

I haven't kept up much with this Test Track refurb, but the fact that it features a new sponsor and is being redone synergy-free seems like good news to me. I hope it doesn't disappoint.

Sorry thought I heard McQueen was a corvette but yes I agree Epcot should not be pandering to little kids especially in futureworld
