News Test Track to be reimagined

I actually like the TRON Track music. That’s the one thing I’ll miss. Hopefully they write some great new music and don’t just throw in the Pinar music.

Bring Bill back, but have him act like his Pitch Perfect character.
Zero disrespect to Terry Crews but I wish that they went with John Michael Higgins for the Guardians preshow. Less of a star and more of a character actor and would have brought a more nervous chaotic energy to it.

This is one attraction they shouldve left alone...I don't believe it will be all indoors. Let's hope not bc it'll take them 10 yrs to build it. It take them 1.5yrs to build a snack stand these days

And let's be glad this is what's happening because Test Track should actually be a great attraction going forward.

World Discovery (Future World East) will be extremely solid.
It could be that much better if they brought back the other original Epcot Attractions. This change shows they can still do attractions without IP attached.

The MCU has steadily been declining, James Gunn has jumped ship for Warner/DC; GotG has a limited shelf life.

Energy production/conservation will never NOT be a solid theme, sadly the Bob Iger Company is more obsessed with short-term ROI’s rather than long term impacts.

Yay. Taking away a major E-Ticket for Summer vacation. Disney's so smart.
Bob knows what guests want. It’s all part of the plan… to boost Genie- sales at Epcot by providing fewer attractions, thus increasing wait times elsewhere.
At least a year I presume.

Less capacity is good for the sales of Genie+
These are all silly takes. With Cosmic Rewind and Ratatouille, EPCOT has more things for more people to do than it has in a really long time.

Test Track is in rough shape. The ride experience actually feels rough and like it’s in need of maintenance…. Everything from the onboard audio to the seatbelts, the hodgepodge of screens and out of sync effects on top of an overall rough ride.

Creepy James Gunn is gone from Disney, small loss.

I still think it will take at least a year as stated in my post.

Does having one less attraction help the sales of Geine+? I also think it does.

If you disagree with the second point then you are objectively wrong.
My bad, i misread your first one, yes we agree, it will be closed for at least a year.

On the second one, Disney loves to make money on Genie+, so less capacity must help that.

If Test Track's update succeeds at making it a great attraction again (which I hope and cautiously expect to happen), Future World (sorry, I mean World Discovery + World Celebration + World Nature) will be incredibly lopsided. The only big draw in Future World West (ok not sorry) will be Soarin'. Apart from the obvious benefits of upgrading JII and/or The Seas once TT is back, as Tom Bricker wrote in his recent "EPCOT Wish List" article, The Land deserves an aesthetic upgrade so it doesn't look like a mall food court. Indeed, if there's one change I'd want to see at EPCOT right now, it would be making The Land feel like someplace special again...

Well, not that solid with a hollow golden dome in the middle of it.

;)

It'll be fine once they put the fossil replicas from Dinoland in there. ;)

Is it though? Like, really?

The Imagination Pavilion’s been in a permanent vegetative state for over two decades now.
We can do the fanboy complaining of how the ride sucks and it used to be great and whatever, but at the end of the day it’s still open. 14 years with no sponsor, ride is open every day. Image Works still open. Magic Eye still open. It’s not empty and rotting like Wonders of Life, it’s an operating attraction.

Operating doesn't mean good. I guess with the same can be said for Spaceship Earth. What happened to expecting higher standards for Disney parks?

Also, should we really trust Iger's Disney with a fourth version of Journey Into Imagination?
