EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

Rode the new version for the first time a couple days ago. My overall impression… meh. v1.0 is still the best version including queue. v2.0 brand new is next. My boys were very disappointed that the create a car was gone. v3.0 is just boring and continues the trend of large expanses of nothing but blank space in between events. If you even consider anything actually happening inside this version. Not sure what is exactly going on inside the building. Family agrees that it is a downgrade and no longer a pull factor when deciding on park options.

Just to show you we are not all negative in this household. CBJ is now a must do every time we go to MK. Fun upgrade, the last 2 times we saw the show the theater was over half full. Way more than the previous version.

Last note… MK and Epcot were absolutely empty on Sat. Even though SWMT was posted at 45 minutes most of the day, it was more likely 30 minutes based on line length

After spending 2 hours in the queue (we got on line right at reopening from a weather delay only to get hit by another weather delay) we finally got to ride. Our quick opinion is that the scenes were well done, the LIDAR looked cool but the story didn't really make much sense. The story of 2.0 was much more cohesive but the show scenes were cheap/non-existent. For story 1.0 wins, for show scenes 3.0 wins.

Don’t they mean the ‘World of Motion’ logo…?

They’re different. The TT logo is quite a bit thinner than the WoM logo.

The TT logo is literally a tribute to the WoM logo. Hence the similarities.
I honestly think if they were legitimately interested in why the EPCOT of the 80s was (or was not) succesful, they would be more concerned in restoring what made it great instead of half-baked "tributes". I will be fair the new Test Track would not have felt out of place in the EPCOT of the 80s. It's just that the rest of the park has been neutered so badly that it's like successfully re-animating the hand of a corpse.

So… a logo painted outside and visible for roughly 10 seconds is making people fall all over themselves?
That does seem to basically be the only thing interesting happening around WDW right now which is indeed a sad state of affairs but everything else looks pretty bad so this is what we have been reduced to.

It’s a sad commentary on the management regime that’s been in place for the better part of 20 years. And an even sadder commentary on park fans.
