News Test Track to be reimagined

🤨 Hmm, maybe I misread it, but I saw it stated somewhere in the reports money was targeted for 2025, assume at least some of this would have been completed, but I can see where that can be taken as spending start in 2025

Here's what was said: "We have got a menu of things that will basically start opening in 2025 and there will be a cadence every year of additional investment and increased capacity."

Ok, so some things could open by 2025. So now which if these ideas are the cheapest and quickest...hmmmm

Didn't they state in the call this week that alot of the "adds" are to be done by 2025? If so, I would assume this will close down pretty soon.
It's Tough to be a Bug would likely be the quickest project on their hands. Of course that attraction makeover should be in the 30% bucket, as it's not adding capacity. I think that 70% increased-capacity number is hogwash anyway.

Well, lets assume...
Tiana and Country bears are not any of this, as both are to be completed by this year.

I agree Tough to be a bug change would be next probably for cost and ease.
No way add to MK, or redo of Dinoland in AK could be completed by 2025. Those I assume would have to be 2027 at best.

wonder if we get some love and care to SM?

There are some potential entertainment updates. But remember, he’s speaking of all six of their resorts. Paris, for example, has a forthcoming expansion that would be included. There may be some more low hanging fruit among Magic Kingdom Classics…

Frozen and Lake Expansion at DLP are hopefully opening 2025, but omitted from the Quartlerly Reports Timeline of Projects

The fact that they're using such precise figures says to me, they have a plan -- at least a general plan -- for the expansions.

But expansion money only starts rolling in in October, the beginning of Fiscal Year 2025. Refreshes and rethemes will come first because they're cheaper and quicker. Expansions will then start rolling out, taking the usual 3-5 years for each project.

I would guess.

When they don't finish those before 2030 I expect some complaining.

Test Track re-imagining is not going to add capacity unless they add an additional attraction...So that may or may not even be part of the plan... Doing a 3 year refurb on Test Track will be lowering capacity for those three years...and the addition of Moana's Splash Pad just replaced Innoventions... Taking also into account that the Magic Eye Theater has been shuttered... and this spectacular re-imagining of EPCOT has not added any capacity...

Magic Eye theatre is still operating, though to fairly small numbers. Just put a figment movie in there already to draw in crowds.

Rat/France expansion and Space 220 added capacity.

Magic Eye Theater was not shuttered.

Rat was increased capacity

Guardians has higher utilization than Energy. So even though it’s technically lower capacity it carries more guests.

Yeah, it has added capacity from what was there at the time -- a better statement would be that the park still has less capacity than it did in the early 1990s.

I also think the current attraction lineup is significantly worse than the attraction lineup of that time period, but that's subjective.

Maybe they can add bumper cars to the Pavillion as part of "crash testing?" Bumper cars are electric so that would be "on theme" as well.
