You’re right, but Tron was written alllll over it. I felt it in my bones. That’s more of what I meant I guess.

It had a Tronish vibe but it wasn't explicitly based on Tron. It was loose enough to not need the Tron brand which is interesting because since Iger became CEO in 2005 90% of the stuff WDI has done has been forced to be cross-promotive on it's face or never get the green light.

Also at the time WDP was a much smaller company and needed that sponsorship money. They really don't have that problem any more and they still can't update often enough. That being said, I am glad GM is still on board to prevent them from turning it into Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy.

true...but I still have the perception ... particularly thru Disney's collaborations with OLC for example, that Disney, lately, has been its best when their development budgets are complimented by the money of other entities.
