Terminator Salvation

Feel free to add your thoughts on Terminator Salvation.

I just came back from the movies at night and though that it was far worth the money. Also,
"Spoiler"
Arnold's cameo in the last act was amazing. It looked just like him in the mid 80's. Great special effects for that scene.

Saw it last night as well. Quite good, but confusing. Then again, I'm not a Terminator Fanboy.

 Neither am I but understanding the past films really helps out with the plot. I guess Christian Bale's rant was well deserved. McG proved himself too.

I enjoyed it, but I have the luxury of having a well-run local Family operated theater with extremely cheap tickets, so I'm more prone to enjoying movies when it's being run by honest people and we didn't have to take out a small mortgage for soda...
:lol::hammer:

It was really good, though several times I broke out into T2:3D...

I'm honored...

I liked it, especially the character of Marcus Wright, but I wonder if it performed well enough to bring about another installment. It's a shame it opened against the Night at the Museum sequel

Marcus really was an amazing character. To be honest they didn't really need John Connor or Katherine Brewster considering that Marcus served as the main character and the film focused mainly on him.

I am a huge Terminator fan. I think the first one is a great 80's action film and the sequel is one of the best movies ever made. The 3rd one I feel is a bit underrated and is a fun Terminator film that kind of steps outside the universe.

But I think that Salvation is one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my life. Going into it, I had very low expectations based on the trailers and McG's track record, but those expectations were shattered almost immediately. I know I was in for it during the opening conversation between Marcus and Helena Bohnam Carter. I know I might be biased because I love the series so much, but I thought it was atrocious. You can tell this movie was written by the same team that did "Catwoman" and the film is probably no better than that one. "So this is what death tastes like"

Since this thread is still alive...I must post this.

Should've been the Ending Credits theme...

Now that I have seen this pile...

Ugh Christian Bale just annoys me now: "I'm Batman" & "I'm John Connor" --sounds the exact freakin same. UGH! We get it.. you can only do the scratchy grumbly voice! Shut-up already!

Should of taken my $8 to go see Night at the Museum 2.

I'm looking forward to seeing McG ruin 20k now :brick::brick:

I don't agree at all! Christian Bale is awesome. He is a welsh tornado of rage! He was really great in The Prestige...
 :sohappy:

Even though I liked the movie, I agree with the part in bold though.

Like others have said... I enjoyed the Marcus character and the twists and turns associated with him... but I dunno... I think it could of been better.

I just liked it is all. Circumstances may be, A: My biggest following of Terminator would be the Universal show.

B: I go to a cheap family run theater, so with $5 tickets, $2 Fountain Mountain Dew, comfy seats, old fashioned noisy projector, and a nearly empty theater on a weekday afternoon, I'm more prone to enjoying all movies.

C: Star Trek was so good I wasn't looking for anything to top it.

D: It had the Terminator theme, which is all I really need...

I'm sure if I had seen it at the ripoff that is AMC and other chain theaters, my opinion would vary.

Nope, should've taken it and saw UP instead. Fantastic movie.

Salvation suffered from the same problems that night at the museum had. The story never really seemed to get into a rhythm. They both kind of meandered from one cool scene to the next without much substance. I liked both but they both could have been so much better. Ahh well, Star Trek kicked asus and I am sure Up will not disappoint.
