Thanks for the info, Steve.
I've been looking for updates on the San Angel Inn rehab...any word on what is being done?

No move on that yet. That was annunced at the same time as the Tequila bar in 2007, so maybe after the summer period something will happen there.

Seems like an awfully small space to be a tequila "bar"... I wonder if it's going to be more of a tequila "store".

I'd think if it were going to be an actual bar, it would need to be bigger than that, right? Unless maybe it has a slim storefront but then goes back deep.

^^I agree, does seem a bit small.

Any word on who will be running it, Steve? Will they be outsourcing it to a third party vendor, as seems to be popular these days, or will they operate it themselves?

I've been in my fair share of tequila bars in Mexico over the years and they've all been pretty intimate. 4-5 barstools and maybe 2-3 tables for 2, that's it.

A few years ago on a business trip, my wife and I were walking around Cabo with two other couples and came across a wonderful tequila bar. There was no one inside. As soon as the six of us walked in the place was packed.

I'm all for premium tequilas, but perhaps they should have some way of getting to this outside? I would think they'd have a lot more success from the "Booze Tour of World Showcase" crowd if they didn't have to funnel in and out of the temple to grab a shot of the good stuff. Maybe an adjunct bar with fewer selections along the promenade, a little easier to access than the very limited bar by the counter service building?

Why am I complaining? It's a plus either way.

I did not take that as a complaint, I took that as assesing the situation:ROFLOL:

Thirst Not Lest Yee Be Thirsty

One of the many wonderful things about WDW is that you can bring your own "beverage" of choice. Of course, instead of using grandpa's flask, it is much more subtle to use a sports bottle or camping canteen. I like to use canteens because - call me old fashion - they tend to more closely resemble grandpa's flask ...accept for that they can hold 20 times as much volume. There's just something more aesthetically pleasing about unscrewing a top instead of suckling what's basically a big baby bottle.

From my memory, that jewelry store had decent enough space inside. It will be a little intimate, but still fine.
I'm looking forward to it. The Mexico pavilion is so well themed. Just another reason to spend some time in there.

4 or 5 tequilla shots, then off to Mission Space Orange, FUN!!!!!!

The sake bar in Japan is very intimate and that works well. People don't tend to just hang out there, just get there sake and leave. So it will probably be the same thing here.
