Yakko: It's that time again!

Wakko: To remember the Alamo?

Dot: To make fun of the Disney Channel?

Yakko: No, it's time to complain about the lack of positive comments, and to help us to fix that we turn to The Wheel of Positives!

Wheel of positives, turn, turn, turn,
Tell us the the good news we should learn

And the good news in today's post is...

It'll be 6 whole days until another one of these threads pops up!

I think this is the first post I've had the honor of viewing where you were in character.

Wow! I don't see too much negativity in the threads at all! If a thread is going that way I usually exit out and go find my friends in restaurant and dining or resort and trip planning. We all certainly love Disney and highlight the positive!! Most of us have never seen each other and have concern when one is sick or has obstacles such as a heart attack in ones life!

I honestly don't care when the grounds are not kept up to standard or when Splash isn't working perfectly! I love being with my DH for days in a row when he doesn't have to go to work and watching my sons laugh all day! I enjoy the Brown Derby and making ADRs! Cheers to Disney and the wonderful people who come here and go there!!:D

Seriously, I just love being there. I must be wearing rose colored glasses, because it all just...excites me. The smells, the weather, the people (as long as there isn't too many), the colors, the music.....all of it. I just love walking into the parks with my family and just inhaling KNOWING we're going to have an awesome time.

I'm gonna get some hate for this but here it goes...I understand that a lot of these Premium Contributors have great insight and are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to Disney; but they also have the aura about them that they give off saying " don't cross me, or disagree, or bring something up that has been brought up before, cuz if you do I will mock you till no end." Its obvious on this thread and many others threads as well. Sorry if we are not as jaded as you and sorry if we look at the bright side; even if Splash Mountain was falling apart or if they constructed Rupunzels tower where you could see it from Liberty Square. It DISNEY FREAKING WORLD! It will always be the happiest and most wonderful place on earth; no matter what they do. That's how I view it and will always view it. When I take my family on our annual trip I am never pointing out the negatives; I'm too busy smiling ear to ear that I am having the best time of my life with my family.

To the original poster...I too want to hear positives about WDW and everything surrounding it. Just seems that people in general like to point out the negative. Its not just on this site, its just general human nature.

OP....you want something positive? Close you eyes and imagine yourself walking into the MK. Imagine the view from main street, hear the sounds of the park and take a deep breath in and smell the smells coming at you from every direction. That's my positive.

I don't know what's worse, the original post or this response.

I saw them let some kids ride through Buzz without getting off once right as the park was closing and I was getting a year's worth of rides in. Lucky fellows got to see a whole twenty feet or so of back-stage.

We are also in the camp that just loves to be there. We leave in 3 days! Over the last few trips we have seen a complete refurb of the entire Main Street exteriors and a lot of work in other areas in the MK alone. We have been on 11 trips in the last 4 years, and we just don't get the "parks are in complete disrepair" comments. Is it perfect? Of course not. Have rides been closed without new ones opening, sure. But I do think that they are starting to care a bit more about the upkeep, and doing what they can. I guess we must have too much pixie dust in our eyes to notice most of the defects. Oh, and since I do not have a photographic memory, I can never remember if a particular AA is supposed to be working or not from our last trip (ok, the Yeti is an exception, but the queue and ride are still a blast without it), and since I cannot remember, it doesn't affect my ride experience. There seem to be people here that either take notes every ride, or can remember every bit of a ride, and see what was working from one ride to the next. I certainly have no desire to spoil my own experience by doing nothing but trying to see what might not be working, and what is. I just enjoy the experience!

I know that certain folks here will say that we are the reason why Disney doesn't keep the parks to the same standard as they used to, but we don't go there to nitpick every little thing that might be wrong, but to have a great vacation, and we ALWAYS do!!

I love the people who knew exactly where this post was going but had to come in to make snarky comments. Don't frikking read it then. One of the reasons I was intimidated to ever post here.
Shannon you speak the truth! I was intimidated as well but then I told myself "Eh, what do I have to lose." I think some of us, including you and I are always here to look at the positive that Disney does, not ever here to nit-pick.

You get the premium contributor flag by donating/joining the site membership. At least I think you do. But it does get old to see the same threads being reincarnated/created multiple times every other week, so I understand the scorn there.

I understand. But my gripe is, if someone keeps seeing the same thread over and over again just don't respond to it. Long time contributors here have to realize that this forum gains new people everyday and they have the same questions and concerns as the people that posted here weeks, months, years ago. There are only so many topics that can be brought up.

I mean, I agree, and I think it's a situation where there's a really fine line, because I've been told to "go search" the forums, but then on the other side of the coin, nobody likes a five year old thread being bumped for a minor comment. There are usually enough threads rotating within the first few pages that if you actually look, people can find what they're looking for. And there are so many "WHAT IF DISNEY DID X" threads, I can't even.
