This will be our first trip to MNSSHP, Sept 29th. It will be myself, hubby, my 4yo and 1 yo. We are planning on taking it easy during the day so the kids won't be overly tired that evening. I also made dinner reservations at Liberty Tree at 4:30 pm. What are the must see and must do activities for the party???
Thanks!

Your plan sounds great, a 4:30 reservation is perfect! I agree with Yoda, don't miss the trick or treating, parade and fireworks, also the dance parties are a lot of fun for the kids. Also, even though your kids are little stay until the end, the place really clears out after Hallowishes. It's a great time to do your favorite rides over and over again. MNSSHP is the most fun thing at all WDW, you guys will have a blast.

We haven't done it for a few years but will be going back on 9/4. Absolutely get some candy, see fireworks and hit 2nd parade if possible (much less crowded). We just did MVMCP and DSs had so much fun at the dance parties. So we will be going to the halloween ones for sure. It's also a great time to meet some characters so make sure to have autograph books and cameras.

You're family is going to have so much fun! I went with my parents last year, I dressed up like a gypsy (Young and Old dress up). They give you little trick-or-treat bags upon entering, but they are pretty small but I brought my own. Hit all the candy stations you can, the lines for them move super quick. Parents get candy as well, we ended up with a ton. We didn't hit any of the dance parties.

One tip I would give though, If you're kids are up to it, skip the first parade and hit the rides you want to. Virtually all the rides are walk-on during the parade, it's great. Then after the first parade, most of the families with little kids go home, and you can enjoy your time and catch the second parade, which was said, is much less crowded!

Just enjoy the atmosphere, I love seeing the parks in a new perspective and checking out the rides that I have never been on at night!

Have fun!

We had a fantastic time!! Face painting, trick or treating, an awesome parade, villains mix and mingle was great and included. We really enjoyed the dance party with the "costumed" characters. I feel it is worth every penny and will do it again this October!

We didn't really have a lot of time for the rides. Which is probably why so many people say there are no lines.

We spent a lot of time waiting in lines to see characters in their costumes. But we also did the parade, fireworks, villains mix and mingle, and the trick or treating. We did have time for a few rides after the last parade though before closing.

We had a blast! And really would have liked to do another party just so tht we could ride rides. Have fun!

I also recommend skipping the first parade .. Line up for the second, which is much less populated, and be sure to get there a bit early .. The Headless Horseman rides a bit before the parade, and he's truly a sight to behold!

Get a late start that day, and take it easy, so your kids will have more stamina later. Generally, I've found the idea of trick or treating can keep them going. Also, if you're there until the end, stop by a trick or treating station right before they close up shop ... they literally loaded my kids down with candy .. Even filling their witch hats. :)

Also, face painting has been free in the past. It's an abbreviated list of pictures, but free is free, and it's a great opportunity to get it done, and give your child a treat.

Sounds like you have a great plan for the party day!!!! The Boo to You Parade, Hollowishes, the treat trails and the dance parties are a must for us when we go. Be sure to visit the characters too... They are all decked out in their halloween costumes for the party!! You are going to have an amazing time! We are attended the party on the 25th of Sept. and are sooo looking forward to it!

According to the little map they give you upon entering from last year, if they keep in the same...

"Boo-to-You" parade starts in Frontierland at 8:15 and 10:30

Hallowishes is at 9:30

And Villians Mix and Mingle is at 7:45, 9:00, 10:05, and 11:15

Its great! We did it back in 2000 so I'm not sure if its changed at all since then. I love the special lighting that is displayed on the buildings as you walk up Main Street. The parade is terrific and the headless horseman is fantastic.

Be prepared to have the music from the parade stuck in your head for the next 2 months. You're going to have a great time! My wife and I first went in 04 before we had kids, we dressed up on a whim and have worn costumes every time since. We have made it down there every year for the party since 04 and now that we have kids, it's even more fun. Make sure you trick or treat, see the parade and headless horseman, and watch the fireworks.

MNSSHP is a blast, we've done it twice and are going again this Oct. We don't have kids and had a ball, but seeing the kids dressed up is just fantastic. I remember our first time there was a family who obviously didn't realize you could dress up, so they bought a simple pirate costume in the gift shop for their little boy in Frontierland, his eyes were huge and he could hardly contain his excitement. Parade is awesome, fireworks are awesome, and Haunted Mansion is especially creepy.
