Really sorry for my absence yesterday. Tux, your Dragon's Lair concept looks wonderful and I fully support you going full speed ahead with it. I trust MF and Nate can work out the Oz details as I'm totally in the dark about that IP. The only thing we need some collaboration on is the presentation. Who's good at web design? Concept art? Video editing etc. The one thing I can provide is the podcast for the radio Recap, but we definitely need some visual components as well.
I can do some video editing.

Port of Entry is the home of The Author, and each of the islands is a land The Author has brought to life with his/her magic book for inspiring a certain feeling. I’ll talk more about this later because my break just ended.
More details on this:
Marina Pharos is a traveler, exploring locales of fantastic adventures. Living in a lighthouse that can cross worlds, she is the owner of an enchanted book that beckons the greatest of adventures with brave heroes and heroines, magical settings, and valuable lessons to learn when they are written. Marina has brought forth these seven worlds and their great leaders: the Intelligent Avatar Aang, the Daring hero Dirk, the Kind actress Ann Darrow, the Brave dinosaur handler Owen Grady, the Wise wizard Albus Dumbledore, the Good witch Glinda, and the Creative trickster The Cat in the Hat. The leaders of these lands have opened their borders in unity for all to discover their own Islands of Adventure, much as Marina did all that time ago.
I kinda want to lean into this and have Marina's lighthouse (obviously themed to that area) be hidden in every land as an Easter egg

I absolutely love this.

Unrelated to this, but I can do presentation. I know we were thinking about doing the news reel but I'm not sure exactly how I would do that. I would say Google Slides but I hate using it as it gets so crammed with words and pictures. I'd rather use Wix or Google Sites and have a unique story around that

What about a Prezi?

Thank you. I do want to add two quick service restaurants and one more shop though, and quickly establish the overall aesthetic of the land before starting to write about it. I should be able to post it soon.

I can make concept art if you want! As for web design, I'm not entirely sure but, I think I'm okay at doing it. I think we should choose a page based website for our presentation so we can organize our lands better.

Considering @TheOriginalTiki wanted to do the video and we all settled decently well on that let’s see what he thinks.

Yea, tbh I don't even know why I brought up web design haha. If we can do most of it as a scripted news reel video with some text on a forum post accompanying it, I think we'd be good to go. Or maybe we should have the video be accompanied by a Google doc? The question is...how "Minecraft" do we want to go with making the whole presentation the video as opposed to the video being a thing that pluses up our presentation.

I can totally make a Google Sites for the project and insert the videos into there. Therefore, it will look a lot more presentable.

I feel like that's too much. The real conversation here:

I actually really like the idea of making the video the whole presentation.

If that's what you want to go with, I'm down. We just need to make sure we don't make any one part of our write-ups too long or detailed and make sure that the write-ups sort of correspond to a 1920's radio announcer script. Mickeyfan you and I can split recording duties on the audio if you can do the video editing, which is something I'm hopeless at.

@Tux, here's a list of concept art I'd like. Don't want to overwhelm you with it though so let me know what you can and can't do. Also of course it'd be great to get a couple pieces of concept art for Dragon's Lair and maybe some sort of blueprint on how the elevator coaster layout would work (I can take the reigns on that if you wish)

-New "skyline" of the park featuring the giant Aang statue, the Dragon's Lair tower, and Emerald City. Reference for Aang statue.

-Earthbenders doing the "groundbreaking ceremony" for Republic City
-Giancarlo Esposito drawn in the style of a factory worker in the Avatar universe (THIS would be really helpful)

I'll keep you updated on other stuff I might need as I flesh out the land more.

An example of the style of write-up I'm going for...

Iroh's Tea Shop

A young and up-and-coming buisnessman by the name of Verrick has bought the franchise rights to the tea stand that once belonged to Fire Lord Zuko's uncle Iroh. The tea stand made a big splash in Ba Sing Sei, and it's the talk of the town here in Republic City. Here guests can purchase many different flavors of tea, from traditional Japanese green and jasmine tea to more expirmental varieties such as a spice tea laced with fire flakes. Verrick has taken the humble charm and hospitality people loved about Iroh's original location and has expanded on it to make it a multi-nation hit! Rumor has it that Fire Lord Zukko can still be seen in disguise from time to time. Talking with the patrons and even working behind the counter, keeping tabs on his beloved late uncle's empire. Careful Zukko, your scar is showing!

Quick Service Pitches - As for two quick services, there isn't much content I can really base them off from Dragon's Lair due to most of the story either taking place in the castle(s) or in a completely different time period, so I tried the best I could with these two. So my main pitches are 'The Garden Of Eden" and "Dirk & Daphne's Desserts". The Garden Of Eden mainly focuses on the relationship of the Medieval Era and Islam, while mainly selling Islamic based meals (yes, that means no pork and it's byproducts). Meanwhile Dirk & Daphne's is the bakery the two opened up in their spare time after the events of the original once they settled down, mainly selling bakery treats.

Shop Pitch - I think an Armory, while quite a generic option, would work well with the setting at large, since after checking out all of the stages, I couldn't find anything that was independent of the castle or anything that would fit thematically into the village which is the only option due to it becoming too cluttered if placed right next to the castle. The shop itself would mainly sell wardrobe items along with merchandising items, and even allow for guests to create their own shields/swords.

Environment - So, the land mainly consists of two seperate parts, which is the village, and Ethereld's Castle/Murdoc's Ruins. Ethereld's Castle/Mordroc's ruins are two seperate buildings housing the two main E-Ticket's of the land, however, both of their facades are connected to create an illusion of two seperate castles that connect together to create one giant castle with a break away of overgrowth in the middle of the two. For a frame of reference, this is what I imagine both sides looking like, just without the water in Ethereld's.

Mordroc's Ruins
Ethereld's Castle

As for the village, I imagine it looking a lot like the following image of an abandoned scandanavian village, just without the overgrowth, properly paved pathways, and some proper lighting.

Transition Areas -

So, due to Ethereld's Kingdom primarily taking up the space between where Marvel Super Hero Island was, it's primarily connected to Republic City and the Port Of Entry respectively.

For Port Of Entry, I think for a transition I would like to go for the route of creating a small forest based area in between the two, with a couple of banners of Ethereld's Kingdom around the path with a couple of fantasy based props strung about the area. Like swords impaled into bare skeleteons with some armor still on them, some dragon bones, and magic based runes carved onto the trees which is just achieved by carving some pattetns into the trees.

As for Republic City, I think it also depends on what @TheOriginalTiki has in mind for it, seeing as I don't know too much about Avatar or Legend Of Korra, but I do know that Republic City has bridge coming out of it, so maybe that could tie into it? This is the last thing I want to establish before going off and starting to create the final material.

Okay! I can work with this! Given how much smaller my land is compared to the others is that I'll try to finish my entire writeup in two days and then dedicate the rest of my time to completing the concept art. Thank you!

A bridge past the giant Aang statue would work well as a transaction I think. Sort of how Republic City itself transitions the Avatar universe into the industrial revolutin

If we decide to go with my Marina Pharos backstory idea, maybe this land’s lighthouse could fit into this area?
