On a more serious note, what about a Water Pavillion? In the 80s, the Pavillion focuses on the importance of water in both our own bodies and greater world ecosystem.

In the 90s, we introduce Water McCool, the totally epic water droplet! He takes over the boring edutainment with a rap battle against the soda droplet, Soda McLame.

In the 2010s, the Water Pavillion is shutdown and rebranded the Drinks Pavillion Sponsored by Budweiser Zero, cementing the once inspired 80s pavilion's journey into a corporate sellout. Head on a river rapids ride through the Budweiser Factory and find out how Budweiser creates drinks with 0% alcohol, 100% Budweiser taste.

It’s no longer drinking around the world, it’s now drinking in the Drinks Pavilion and getting wasted around the world. EPCOT trash cans will now be outfitted with vomit-catching stations...

I think we're done here - no more brainstorming needed

Going back to the video game pavilion idea, what about adding a coaster in the 90's themed to early 3D polygonal games? A launch themed to a racing starting line would be perfect plus if we go with the Sega sponsorship, we could have a Sonic themed finale.

Alright, just quickly recapping what's been mentioned so far:

  • Air/Weather
  • Video Games
  • Performing Arts
  • Space
  • Water
Looks like we've got some interesting ideas so far. Video games would certainly be a topic that could evolve with time, though I'd say that it would also be worth considering the theme behind it considering Epcot's educational nature. I could see it perhaps starting as a flashy way to connect guests with what computers can do, while it develops over time more into the power of interactivity through the video game medium. Space could also have rich potential as a pavilion, maybe themed as an astronaut training ground/astronomical studies facility.

I'm not sure if it would be okay, but Wonders of Life is something that wasn't at Epcot in its opening years, and I feel there could be a lot of interesting potential in something about health and the human body. Perhaps it could focus on a more specific element of the body to help differentiate it.

the mind, perhaps? lots of room for creativity there but also a lot of education you can squeeze outta that.

i think video games is too specific. epcot pavilions are usually very broad. maybe computers, instead? that obviously includes video games, so everyone gets what they want.

The mind would definitely be a good focus. Something that could get into how the mind operates, like with thoughts or our feelings.

Computers might not be bad. I know CommuniCore (one of the opening day pavilions) had a major spotlight on computers, but that pavilion was also a sort of sampler of the big Epcot elements at the time. A computer pavilion, meanwhile, could delve more into the specifics of the technology.
