A larger focus on health for Wonders of Life - originally going to be the Life Health Pavilion, I think could be a spin that would fit for the 80s (dancing playing a big role)Alright, just quickly recapping what's been mentioned so far:
Looks like we've got some interesting ideas so far. Video games would certainly be a topic that could evolve with time, though I'd say that it would also be worth considering the theme behind it considering Epcot's educational nature. I could see it perhaps starting as a flashy way to connect guests with what computers can do, while it develops over time more into the power of interactivity through the video game medium. Space could also have rich potential as a pavilion, maybe themed as an astronaut training ground/astronomical studies facility.

I'm not sure if it would be okay, but Wonders of Life is something that wasn't at Epcot in its opening years, and I feel there could be a lot of interesting potential in something about health and the human body. Perhaps it could focus on a more specific element of the body to help differentiate it.
I feel like we could keep it anchored with a factor in the changing nature of health information. Perhaps a Health pavilion could start with that general focus on health and fitness, but maybe shift over the years to having a focus on mental health given the greater concern on that topic these days.A larger focus on health for Wonders of Life - originally going to be the Life Health Pavilion, I think could be a spin that would fit for the 80s (dancing playing a big role)
Granted the only thing with that is it'll be more difficult as we go on through the years to not go back to the same beats as Wonders of Life
Computers seems like a great way to show progression - an Apple Pavilion as corny as that may seem, could be a 2020 version of what we start in the 80sComputers are also a topic that could easily shift over time. The '80s version could get into the initial wonders of computerized automation and information sharing, the "hip" era could shift more towards video games and the first major outbreak of the internet, and the modern era could focus more on how computers help to better connect the world.
They really would. Starting off with what computers can do, as it gradually changes over the years to how we use computers.Computers seems like a great way to show progression - an Apple Pavilion as corny as that may seem, could be a 2020 version of what we start in the 80s
In a way - I say we make one full pavilion in the 80s, and then merely describe changes for the other 2 eras. It'd be a large task to essentially make 3 pavilions, so let's make one great one that doesn't require too much changes over the years (or changes that would lead to the need for new attraction writeups)Honestly, even without getting into what theme we work on, this will be quite the challenge. In a way, we're basically designing three pavilions. Sure, it's still the one core pavilion, but we're going to be reflecting how it updates and changes over time. This could even mean a change in the attractions, depending on what we do with our pavilion over the years.
It may seem daunting, but it's still quite exciting!
At the very least, we should definitely start on the '80s iteration of the pavilion first. Lay down our foundation first, so that we can see how it can be changed and updated over the years. In a way - I say we make one full pavilion in the 80s, and then merely describe changes for the other 2 eras. Exactly - because if we make one that's solid first, the enhancements over the years could be more aesthetic than foundation altering. I look to something like the Land Pavilion - which is pretty much the same pavilion + Soarin' and a few show/restaurant renames/overlaysAt the very least, we should definitely start on the '80s iteration of the pavilion first. True. A good core foundation, with maybe some thematic or aesthetic changes over the years to go with the changing times. Maybe a slight change on the attractions or the addition of IPs in later eras, but that all depends on the theme we pick and what we do with it.Exactly - because if we make one that's solid first, the enhancements over the years could be more aesthetic than foundation altering. This might helpI'm fine with whatever we do, I just think we need to remember for any of our potential themes that we need a realistic sponsor for the 80's version of the pavilion.
I raise you this: the Mathematics Pavilion, Presented by Texas Instruments.
Actually, I kinda like this... although what about instead of the Math Pavilion, it's the Computer Pavilion @DashHaber suggested? Texas Instruments could sponsor it initially before it shifts focus in the 90s from Computational Computers to Video Games and Digital Entertainment.I raise you this: the Mathematics Pavilion, Presented by Texas Instruments.
I’m not for this by the way. Math is my weakest subject in school, despite having a mathematician for a father!
That is actually a really good point. Texas Instruments would be a fitting sponsor for a Computers pavilion!Actually, I kinda like this... although what about instead of the Math Pavilion, it's the Computer Pavilion @DashHaber suggested? Also, we could use Tron, which came out the same year as EPCOT!
